Forget politics ... What about our lives and the economy, stupid!

Still doing a pun on Bill Clinton.

Voters turnout for by-elections have been low and the same expected for the return of Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim via Port Dickson.

Many more charges against Dato Najib and now Datin Seri Rosmah. Will it make the public more angry towards them or if it is overdone, could it result in public sympathy?

Tan Sri Zainuddin Maidin is lendong a hand to spew insults to fire up hatred but again, no charge sheet is ready. Printer's fault at the AGC.

Was the hurried charges meant as diversion to an unproductive London-New York-London trip for PM or divert attention from PD for PPBM's subtle attempt to deny Anwar of victory?

Apparently claimed a source, few of the candidates in PD are being funded. But wonder who cares for all these politics when life is getting difficult.

World Bank forecasted Malaysia's economy to grow slower than expected. [Read in NST here]. Cost of living for B40 went up in multiples. [Read TMI here.]

PH campaigned on this issue but when in government, only aggravate matters. So the need to cook up a RM1 trillion debt lie!

If that is not bad enough, official government statistics for August confirmed trade contraction for the world's 16th largest trading nation. [Read here.]

Exports contracted while imports surged (no thanks to tax-free period where people rushed to buy cars and took on more bank loans).

Palm oil exports dropped -22.9% compared to one year ago. Maybe we should continue to piss off China and the all our other trading nations more?

Trade surplus just a meager RM1.6 billion. Luckily for the high oil prices now or we would have experienced our first ever trade deficit in the past 18 years. More in The Edge here.

For a broader but gloomy picture, facebooker Jae Senn commented below:

The MYR is still sliding against the USD, our growth rate is still being revised downwards, inflation will increase further and there will be no goodies in the budget for next year. Taxes are not being reduced and we may even get new taxes after 2019. Minimum wage is just increased by RM50 per month. Our median household income remains flat with not much growth while our exports will quite likely see a contraction at the end of this year, which will continue throughout next year. Highway tollswill not have their rates reduced (much less eliminated) but at the same time public transportation projects are halted or delayed, and there will be no breaks for study loan debtors. Cost of goods have not gone down and in fact, the general consensus is that the cost of living seems to have risen slightly across the board.

Direct cash handouts for the B40 in the form of BR1M to increase liquidity and spending will be stopped. Pension funds are being given a long hard look. Government subsidies for cheap healthcare is being stopped. But, petrol subsidies that benefit the M40 and T20 are continued. The broad-based GST has been eliminated but the abuse-prone SST has been re-implemented with no indication of how tax evasion and non-compliance will be enforced apart from a heartfelt plea by the Finance Minister for business owners to be honest with their tax returns. Meanwhile, corporate taxes are under consideration to be revised upwards to make up for the shortfall of tax revenue.

Diplomatic visits to Japan resulted in no business deals and no soft loans. Diplomatic visits to China resulted in no business deals and no soft loans. Visits from the heads of states of Brunei and Singaporeresulted in no business deals and no bilateral projects. A working visit to the United States resulted in no business deals but we’re assured that the Americans would love to invest in Malaysia.

We are in Month 5 of a 60-month term. We are reaching almost 10% of the current term before the next elections. And yet, we have no indicator of what the current government plans to accomplish by the mid-term, at the 30-month mark. You need to have a goal of what to accomplish or put in place at the 30-month mark which will come to fruition and provide benefits for the next 30 months, before the next General Elections, to have the solid results to convince the electorate that you should be voted into power once again. But so far, we have absolutely no direction or indication of where we’re headed towards the 30-month mark when we’re already one-sixth of the way towards the mid-term.

The biggest drivers for injecting liquidity and business opportunities into the market are public infrastructure works but those are all being delayed, put on hold or canceled, such as LRT3, MRT3, HSR, ECRL, PBH. Another area would be public housing development and affordable housing, which have also similarly been put on hold or postponed.

What about our agricultural sector? It’s getting battered from strong headwinds of severely reduced demand coupled with a brewing trade war that’s affecting all emerging markets in the region. The steep depreciation of the Indonesian Rupiah is a windfall for China to consider getting most of their palm oil from Indonesia.

What about our industrial and manufacturing sectors? Our head of state is obsessed with a third national car project while smaller and more agile nations have gone full-swing into new high-revenue industries such as fintech, mobile app development, IoT, Big Data and analytics, and a lot of other next-generation sectors. But somehow we’re being told that if we don’t have a successful national car, we will just be a nation of peasants and farmers.

So, how will the remaining 55 months play out?

For the current government, it’s a hard humbling lesson to remind them that it’s easy being a noisy and abusive Opposition but it’s difficult to actually run the country and get things done.

For the voters, it’s a reminder to be careful what you wish for and when you sow the wind, you shall reap the whirlwind.

Expect massive effort to suppress the kind of story similar to Dato Najib's endless critics being repeatedly reported in the mainstream media by young media officer and economist.

Editors are being hustled and yelled at to ensure coverage to an opinionated economist views even the presumptous, unsubstantiated and not news worthy ones.

Where is the Tun Dr Mahathir magic that his diehards dreamt of a return to his past? His time has passed as he is behind time. Admit that.

With no solution in sight and more enemies than friends abroad, perhaps more political persecution needed to be put in play as diversion.

If the past is an indication of the present, public should be glued to the political soap opera on the tube and mind taken off their daily worries.

Tan Sri Muhyiddin rather gung ho with Hanif Khatri to close up UMNO, isn't he?

Umno sec-gen: ‘Game over’ for PAS and Sarawak Report, no point pursuing lawsuit

Umno sec-gen: ‘Game over’ for PAS and Sarawak Report, no point pursuing lawsuit

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 6 — PAS was right to settle its suit against Sarawak Report (SR) editor Clare Rewcastle-Brown out of court as pursuing the matter would only hamper the Islamist party due to the exorbitant costs, Umno secretary-general Tan Sri Annuar Musa has said.

Speaking to the Malay Mail in a recent interview, the Ketereh MP said initiating the lawsuit was a fair move by PAS, but the situation has now reached “game over” for both parties and they should now move forward instead.

“So maybe at that time, that kind of defamation can affect PAS because of the election, and they must take stern action against Brown. But now, it’s ‘game over’,” Annuar said, referring to letting bygones be bygones.

“If you ask me, I won’t want to fly from Kuala Lumpur to London, flying up and down attending court cases. It is not a cheap thing spending hundreds of thousands, maybe millions just to settle a small issue, which is a non-issue to PAS maybe.”

Last Friday, PAS unexpectedly announced that Abdul Hadi had settled his defamation suit against SR and Rewcastle-Brown out of court, with no order to costs and with both bound to confidentiality.

He filed the suit in 2017 over a 2016 article alleging that several PAS leaders received RM90 million in order to covertly support Umno and Barisan Nasional ahead of the 14th general election.

Despite the link to Umno, Annuar said the case would not affect the two rivals-turned-allies cooperation for the Semenyih by-election next month.

“That has not nothing to do with Semenyih. Rewcastle-Brown writing about it is one thing, but Najib’s account has been investigated,” he said, referring to the many investigations against former Umno president Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

“If Najib has given RM90 million, I’m sure the entire documents are already in the hands of the government now, but there was nothing.

“I think PAS made the right strategy. They want to focus on their business and they want to move forwards. Otherwise, they are being dragged and entangled into an old issue that is not even relevant to their direction now,” he added.

Annuar also dismissed the result of the settlement on Umno’s political prospects, despite the disputed article being allowed to be kept online.

“There are many incorrect things which are allowed to be retained online. So why worry?” he asked.

Annuar further said that the suit was entirely an internal issue within PAS which started even before the 14th general election, and Umno must not be drawn into the quagmire.

PAS has been mocked over the out-of-court settlement but has insisted that it still obtained a moral victory despite SR continuing to carry the offending article on its website.

Deputy minister in charge of law Mohamed Hanipa Maidin pointed out that since Abdul Hadi did not win in his suit, it cannot be ascertained whether the portal’s report that the Islamist party received RM90 million from rival party Umno was slander.

The Sepang MP who has had handled many of PAS’ legal matters when he had still been with the party, also said that PAS is fooling no one with its claim that SR could not prove its allegation.

Former Malaysian Bar president Datuk Ambiga Sreenevasan had also taken PAS to task, asking the party to properly explain itself to those who contributed to the millions raised towards Abdul Hadi’s legal cost in the matter.

Ambiga had been tangentially linked to the case after Rewcastle-Brown claimed the former to be the source of her information for the RM90 million claim.

Why Did Mahathir Ask Clare Brown To Settle The Case Out Of Court?

Why Did Mahathir Ask Clare Brown To Settle The Case Out Of Court?

And this is what frightens Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Pakatan Harapan. Mahathir and Pakatan believe that a few billion Ringgit of 1MDB’s money (they believe it is more than RM10 billion) has been stashed away in Kazakhstan. And they are worried that once Najib is in London, Kazakhstan will grant him political asylum and he can fly safely to Kazakhstan where he has billions or tens of billions at his disposal. (This is what they believe, not what I believe).

THE CORRIDORS OF POWER

Raja Petra Kamarudin

The chatter over the last few days was whether Clare Rewcastle Brown was right after all that former Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak paid PAS or the PAS president, Abdul Hadi Awang, RM90 million as alleged.

Some say since Hadi refused to continue with the case that means the allegation must be true: that Najib did give PAS RM90 million. Actually, it was BOTH Hadi and Clare who agreed to not continue with the case, not Hadi alone.

Well, you cannot blame them for spinning and most Pakatan Harapan people would agree with the argument that this out-of-court settlement means Clare won and Hadi lost. In other words, Najib did give PAS RM90 million.

Small minds look at the small picture and miss the big picture to the whole issue

This argument, basically, goes by the doctrine of the absence of evidence that it did not happen (or is not present) means it must have happened (or is present). Religionists use this same argument: the fact you cannot prove God does not exist means God does exist. (Or the fact you cannot prove the Quran did not come from God means the Quran did come from God: which means Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, etc., are going to hell).

Have you noticed one thing? All this while Najib has kept quiet and said nothing. The allegation is that it was Najib who gave PAS the RM90 million and yet Najib did not say a word. It was not until yesterday, after the announcement that the case has been settled out of court, that Najib denied giving PAS RM90 million. Why is that?

Actually, Najib remained silent all this while because he was going to issue this denial in the London court in front of the judge. That is why Najib remained silent and never said a word until yesterday. Najib was also going to tell the court that the Malaysian government had arrested and charged him for 40 or 50 crimes involving theft, money-laundering, etc., but not a single charge involved giving PAS RM90 million stolen from 1MDB.

Why did Najib remain silent all this while until yesterday?

That means, since Najib was not arrested and charged for stealing RM90 million of 1MDB’s money, and for giving it to PAS (which involves money laundering charges as well), the allegation cannot be true.

Another point that people seem to have forgotten is that Clare said she got this information from the then Bersih Chairman, Ambiga Sreenevasan. That is Clare’s source of information, Ambiga. And Ambiga is going to have to testify in court because Clare needs, as they say in legal terms, to ‘prove the maker’.

The court only has Clare’s word that it was Ambiga who gave her the information. Ambiga now needs to go to court to tell the judge that this is true, that she did give Clare the information. Hence Clare can clear her name (be vindicated, as she said) and not be accused of fabricating a story.

Once Ambiga goes to court and confirms that it really was she who told Clare that Najib gave PAS RM90 million, PAS can now go for her, and in a Malaysian court this time. And Ambiga would now need to prove in the Malaysian court that what she said is true and is not a lie. The burden now shifts to Ambiga to prove her story.

Hadi did Mahathir a favour by dropping this case

Ambiga wants to avoid this and she is very angry with Clare for ‘dragging her name’ into this case. And she told Clare to settle the matter out of court so that this whole matter does not become even more messy and so many other people get dragged into it.

Note that so far Ambiga has refused to comment whether it is true she told Clare that Najib gave PAS RM90 million. Ambiga could have just denied Clare’s story but she did not. If Ambiga denies it then Clare’s defence crumbles (which means the story is fabricated and is not based on information from Ambiga) and if she confirms it then PAS can now go for her (Ambiga) as well.

So, NOT settling out of court is NOT an option.

But the most important point of all involves Najib’s testimony. It was not until yesterday that Najib denied giving PAS RM90 million. And he remained silent all this while because he was reserving his testimony for the hearing. He was going to appear before the judge to issue this denial.

Mahathir and Pakatan believe after flying to London Najib will end up in Khazakhstan

And that means Najib needs to travel to London to do this. And that means Najib has to be allowed to leave Malaysia and his passport needs to be returned to him.

Mahathir and Pakatan cannot afford for this to happen. But then Najib is the most crucial witness in this whole case because he is the one who was supposed to have given PAS RM90 million. And Najib has never confirmed or denied this (until yesterday) because he wants to make his statement in the London court.

Can you imagine what will happen if Najib is allowed to travel to London? Worse still, can you imagine what will happen if, say, Kazakhstan grants Najib political asylum and Najib flies to that country instead of flying back to Malaysia?

Najib has family in Kazakhstan

But then Clare is going to summon Ambiga to confirm in court the RM90 million was paid. So, to be fair to Hadi, he must be allowed to summon Najib to confirm in court the RM90 million was not paid.

It is actually hilarious that so many people, and many of them lawyers on top of that, are focused on discussing whether this out-of-court settlement means the allegation is true (and that Clare won and Hadi lost) without looking at the bigger picture. Is Raja Petra Kamarudin the only Malaysian who has brains? The issue here is simple. The case needs to be dropped so that Najib can be prevented from leaving Malaysia. And without Najib’s testimony in the London court how can the case proceed?

Aiyah, it is so hard to be humble when you are the only smart Malaysian. So, forgive me if I sound arrogant. I think I have earned the right to be arrogant. Phew…lucky I went to the Malay College Kuala Kangsar (and then to the Victoria Institution) and not to some silly Chinese school.

So, in short, Hadi did Mahathir a favour by dropping this case. But then why would Hadi want to do Mahathir this favour? Ah, that is another story for another time. Just remind me later that I owe you a story about why Hadi did Mahathir a favour by dropping this case.

Ambiga Tikam Belakang PAS

Ambiga Tikam Belakang PAS

Dan Ambiga ikut boss dia, Anwar. Ambiga tikam belakang PAS walau pun kalau bukan sebab PAS Bersih tidak akan wujud. Ambiga bagitahu Clare Rewcastle Brown yang Perdana Menteri Najib Tun Razak telah rasuah PAS sebanyak RM90 juta, satu cerita fitnah dan dakwaan palsu semata-mara.

THE CORRIDORS OF POWER

Raja Petra Kamarudin

Tetapi PAS masih sokong Bersih. Biarlah Bersih 2.0 pun. Biarlah perempuan India Hindu yang mempengerusikan Bersih 2.0. Demi atas semangat perjuangan dan pengorbanan, PAS terus sokong Bersih 2.0.

Tetapi perempuan India Hindu ini sama macam boss dia, Anwar. Ambiga ni suka tikam belakang, sama macam Anwar. Anwar tikam tak kira belakang siapa. Tun Dr Mahathir pun dia tikam belakang, budak-budak jambu pun dia tikam belakang.

Dennis Ignatius, Pakatan Harapan’s Voice Of Hypocrisy

Dennis Ignatius, Pakatan Harapan’s Voice Of Hypocrisy

Mahathir is said to have cost Malaysia at least RM200 billion, now worth RM440 billion in today’s purchasing power. Yes, that is what it is, RM440 billion compared to 1MDB’s RM42 billion. But still Kit Siang and DAP have no problems working with Mahathir in spite of that RM440 billion. But, according to Dennis Ignatius, it is wrong for Hadi and PAS to work with Umno.

THE CORRIDORS OF POWERS

Raja Petra Kamarudin

In his article, ‘Hadi, the voice of hypocrisy’, published in Free Malaysia Today, Dennis Ignatius said:

For years Hadi and the whole bunch of PAS and Umno members of Parliament aided and abetted the cover-up of the 1MDB scandal, the biggest scandal in our history. Billions of ringgit of taxpayers’ money, money belonging to the voters of Cameron Highlands, Muslim and non-Muslim, was looted and squandered on high living, debauchery and partying all over the world. Expensive champagne, paid for with taxpayer funds, was flowing in distant playgrounds while the voters in Cameron Highlands had to struggle to earn a decent living.

As a multiracial, non-religious political party, DAP, of course, takes no position on concepts of sin and heavenly reward. Nevertheless, DAP has a far better track record when it comes to integrity, justice and public service than religiously-inclined parties like Umno and PAS. Indeed, it was this commitment to integrity, justice and public service that led DAP on a long and lonely quest to expose the 1MDB scandal while Umno and PAS were doing their best to cover it up or look the other way.

Is Hadi so blinded by his disdain for non-Malays and non-Muslims that he’d rather have a corrupt and discredited Malay-Muslim party in power than a clean and honest coalition of Muslims and non-Muslims in office?

Dennis Ignatius, DAP’s and Pakatan Harapan’s spin-doctor

That is just a part of what Dennis Ignatius wrote (you can read the full article HERE). Nevertheless, just those three paragraphs are enough for me to respond to his allegations and declarations.

First of all, a Christian like Dennis Ignatius can never accept a Muslim leader like Tok Guru Abdul Hadi Awang and an Islamic party like PAS. Hence, in this instance, Dennis Ignatius is speaking from a non-neutral stance and is highly biased and prejudiced against PAS.

For generations, Christians in Malaysia consider themselves oppressed and Dennis Ignatius is no different. That is why they would look for any excuse to whack Malays, Muslims and Islam. And in Dennis Ignatius’s article, ‘Hadi, the voice of hypocrisy’, this is precisely the case.

Dennis Ignatius goes on and on about Hadi’s hypocrisy. In fact, the title of the article itself is called ‘Hadi, the voice of hypocrisy’. But is this really what bothers Dennis Ignatius? And is this not what Lim Kit Siang and DAP are guilty of, the same ‘crime’ that Hadi and PAS are supposed to have committed?

The late Nik Aziz Nik Mat said PAS can work with Umno as long as Umno does not oppose Islam

The late Tok Guru Nik Aziz Nik Mat said the only reason PAS opposes Umno is because Umno opposes Islam (and which was why PAS ‘broke away’ from Umno in 1951 in the first place). If Umno can accept Islam then there is no longer any need for PAS to oppose Umno. In fact, PAS can even be closed down and all its members can join Umno, said Nik Aziz.

So, does that solve the ‘mystery’ as to why PAS can now work with Umno?

And let us not forget that Kit Siang proclaimed Nik Aziz as a great, noble and sincere man. So, Kit Siang himself endorsed Nik Aziz and Nik Aziz has already explained very clearly the position of PAS versus Umno. So, what is Dennis Ignatius going on about?

If Hadi is a hypocrite, then what about Kit Siang?

Regarding the issue of 1MDB and Najib Tun Razak, and Umno’s alleged crime regarding 1MDB, is this case not already before the court? Dennis Ignatius has already passed judgment even before the judge has. As an ex-diplomat, does Dennis Ignatius not know the doctrine of innocent until proven guilty? Even Hadi Awang understands this concept.

A few days ago, when asked about Anwar Ibrahim’s sodomy convictions, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad replied that it was the judges who convicted and sentenced Anwar to jail. Yes, Mahathir did not convict and sentence Anwar. The court did.

The same goes with the 1MDB case (plus the Tabung Haji, Felda, etc., cases). All these cases are before the courts and the judges have yet to decide whether Najib is guilty of stealing RM42 billion of 1MDB’s money — like Pakatan Harapan alleges. So why is Dennis Ignatius whacking Hadi for this?

If Dennis Ignatius wants to talk about hypocrisy then let us talk about hypocrisy

If it is hypocritical for Hadi and/or PAS to work with Najib and/or Umno mainly because of or due to 1MDB (which is said to be RM42 billion), then what about Kit Siang and DAP working with Mahathir and/or PPBM? Is this not even more hypocritical?

Mahathir is said to have cost Malaysia at least RM200 billion, now worth RM440 billion in today’s purchasing power. Yes, that is what it is, RM440 billion compared to 1MDB’s RM42 billion. But still Kit Siang and DAP have no problems working with Mahathir in spite of that RM440 billion. But, according to Dennis Ignatius, it is wrong for Hadi and PAS to work with Umno.

Dennis Ignatius can take his morals and ethics and shove it up where the sun does not shine. He is quick to label Hadi and PAS as hypocrites while his hypocrisy is far worse. Condemn Hadi and PAS if you wish as long as you also condemn Kit Siang and DAP.

Has Dennis Ignatius forgotten where all these PPBM leaders originally came from?

Dennis Ignatius said Hadi would ‘rather have a corrupt and discredited Malay-Muslim party in power than a clean and honest coalition of Muslims and non-Muslims in office.’

Dennis Ignatius’s so-called clean and honest coalition of Muslims and non-Muslims is actually a coalition of ex-Umno and government people who Kit Siang had been condemning for 35 years. These are the same foxes who stole all the chickens and who you have been condemning for decades who you now praise as the defenders of the chickens.

What nonsense is Dennis Ignatius spewing? What comes out from his mouth stinks to high heavens we can smell it all the way from Manchester. Better Dennis Ignatius keep his mouth shut and keep people wondering than open it and prove what people think of him.

So, Who Won, Clare Brown Or Hadi Awang?

So, Who Won, Clare Brown Or Hadi Awang?

Yes, that’s right, Clare wants the police to arrest me if I ever mention her name or use her photographs in Malaysia Today. But that is not bullying. When you sue her, though, that is bullying. So, is Lim Guan Eng also bullying? What about Anwar Ibrahim? What about all those other mudder-fookers and cook-sookers in Pakatan Harapan who sue you if you say anything about them? They are not also bullying?

NO HOLDS BARRED

Raja Petra Kamarudin

Pakatan Harapan and Sarawak Report’s Clare Rewcastle Brown are celebrating PAS President Abdul Hadi Awang’s ‘loss’ in the defamation suit. (SEE NEWS ITEMS BELOW)

Over the last few years many defamation suits have been settled out of court. In fact, very few cases actually enter the hearing stage. So why are they ‘celebrating’ the out-of-court settlement between Hadi Awang and Clare Brown as if Clare won and Hadi lost?

Hadi’s suit has served its purpose and is no longer required since GE14 is now over and PAS won the two states it wanted

Bodoh sangat kah?

And what does Clare mean when she says she feels vindicated? Has she published the evidence to support her allegation that former Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak paid PAS RM90 million? Where’s the evidence? Show us the evidence! Publishlah!

Cakap banyak tapi tak tunjuk bukti — sebab yang sebenarnya takde bukti pun.

Robert Kuok sent me TWO legal letters and wanted to sue me twice for defamation. Finally, he dropped both cases and did not proceed. Does this mean I won and Robert Kuok lost? Can I say I have been vindicated and therefore what I alleged against Robert Kuok is true?

The previous Attorney-General, Mohamed Apandi Ali, said he was going to sue me but finally he backed down and did not. Does that mean I have been vindicated and what I alleged is 100% true?

Can I also say Apandi is guilty and I have been vindicated?

And, today, Apandi Ali has been removed as AG. Is that proof what I alleged against him is true after all? Can I scream and shout that I have been vindicated, like what Clare is doing?

I called Anwar Ibrahim an arse-bandit and he does not dare sue me. I said Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Tun Daim Zainuddin stole RM200 billion of the rakyat’s money and they do not dare sue me.

I accused Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim of corruption. I also accused Mohd Isa Abdul Samad of corruption. Both did not dare sue me and now both are facing charges for corruption. Is that proof what I alleged against them is true after all? Can I scream and shout that I have been vindicated, like what Clare is doing?

I have accused Anwar, Mahathir and Daim of robbing the country but none of them dare sue me as well

It appears that my track record proves that all those who I accuse of doing something wrong (such as Azeez, Isa and Apandi), and who do not dare sue me (such as Azeez, Isa and Apandi), are really guilty in the end. That seems to be what my track record proves. Hence, based on this track record, can I say that proves what I said about Robert Kuok is also true?

Yes, Pakatan Harapan dan Clare Brown, janganlah bodoh sangat. Dan jangan cuba memperbodohkan orang ramai. Just because the case was settled  out of court don’t try to tell us that Clare won and Hadi lost.

Hadi had his reasons for settling out of court and I know the reason why. It was all a pre-GE14 election strategy and that strategy paid off. Is not PAS now in control of two states when PAS was supposed to win zero seats like what Rafizi Ramli predicted?

Anyway, why did Clare agree to the out-of-court settlement? If what she said is true then she should have refused to settle out of court and instead tell Hadi, “See you in court, pukimak!”

Since Robert Kuok dropped TWO cases against me can I say I am right and that I have been vindicated?

And Clare said, “If anyone thought they could bully me with legal bullying, they were wrong.”

But was it not she who bullied me with legal bullying? In fact, she even sent the police to my house to threaten to arrest me if I write about her, mention her name in my article, or inset any of her photographs in Malaysia Today.

That’s not bullying?

Yes, that’s right, Clare wants the police to arrest me if I ever mention her name or use her photographs in Malaysia Today. But that is not bullying. When you sue her, though, that is bullying. So, is Lim Guan Eng also bullying? What about Anwar Ibrahim? What about all those other mudder-fookers and cook-sookers in Pakatan Harapan who sue you if you say anything about them? They are not also bullying?

Rewcastle-Brown on Hadi dropping suit: I feel utterly vindicated

(The Star) – A Sarawak Report story that originally led to a defamation suit by PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang will remain online after the suit was settled out of court.

When contacted, Sarawak Report editor Clare Rewcastle-Brown said the article was still online and would remain so because Abdul Hadi had dropped the suit.

“He dropped his complaint. People can make of that what they want.

“I invite anyone to revisit the article, and it’s still online.

“It is no longer being contested,” she said.

Rewcastle-Brown maintained her silence on the terms of the settlement, saying that it was agreed that they would stay private.

On the decision to settle the suit, she said she felt “utterly vindicated”.

“If anyone thought they could bully me with these legal bullying, they were wrong,” she said.

If suit settled out of court, was Sarawak Report right? Sepang MP suggests

(Malay Mail Online) – Sepang MP Mohamed Hanipa Maidin has clarified today that a settlement out of court does not mean that PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang has won in his defamation suit against Sarawak Report editor Clare Rewcastle-Brown.

The deputy law minister also pointed out that since Abdul Hadi did not win in his suit, it cannot be ascertained whether the portal’s report that the Islamist party received RM90 million from rival party Umno was slander.

“When the case did not proceed and was retracted, that means it did not count as a win. When you don’t win, so it cannot be said that what SR published was slander,” the Parti Amanah Negara leader wrote on his Facebook page, using the portal’s initials.

“What more when the settlement terms that I read, there was no such line where SR retracted its allegation or apologised, which could be seen as a concession or admission that what it published was slander.”

Why Are The DAP And Pakatan Supporters So Brainless?

Why Are The DAP And Pakatan Supporters So Brainless?

What is important is Hadi’s credibility in the eyes of the PAS members, supporters and voters. Those are the only people who matter. All the others are as important as dog shit stuck at the bottom of your shoe.

NO HOLDS BARRED

Raja Petra Kamarudin

It takes two parties to agree to an out-of-court settlement. It cannot happen unilaterally.

I have noticed, however, many of the DAP and Pakatan Harapan supporters whacking PAS President, Abdul Hadi Awang, for agreeing to an out-of-court settlement. The out-of-court settlement cannot happen unless Clare Rewcastle Brown also agrees to it and wants it to happen.

Clare needs to prove her allegation, Hadi needs to prove nothing

Some DAP and Pakatan Harapan supporters commented that if Hadi is innocent then he should prove this in court by showing the evidence. Only DAP and Pakatan Harapan people can come out with a stupid statement like this.

Hadi does not need to prove anything, either in court or in the social media. It was Clare who accused former Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak of bribing PAS RM90 million. So it is Clare’s job to prove her allegation and not Hadi’s job to disprove it.

In fact, since Clare claims she is aware of this RM90 million bribe, she should report this crime to the MACC so that the MACC can interrogate Najib and Hadi and charge them for money laundering. Has Clare done this? And, if not, why not?

Hadi does not care what DAP and Pakatan Harapan people think of him as long as he is on the right side of Islam and Allah

The onus is on Clare to report this crime and to submit the evidence of this crime to the MACC or to the police. She was also given a lot of time to submit the evidence to the London court to bolster her defence. But she did not. In fact, she told the court that the action against her is political and has no legal merits.

Some also say Hadi’s credibility is at stake because he did not proceed with the case.

Is that so? In whose eyes is Hadi’s credibility at stake? In the eyes of those who are helping to pay the RM5 million legal cost or in the eyes of those who are not paying a single sen to the legal cost?

Who cares what these people think of Hadi, PAS or Islam?

Who cares about Hadi’s credibility in the eyes of those who cakap banyak tapi tak bantu satu sen pun? Who cares about Hadi’s credibility in the eyes of DAP and Pakatan Harapan supporters who hate Hadi never mind what he does or does not do?

What is important is Hadi’s credibility in the eyes of the PAS members, supporters and voters. Those are the only people who matter. All the others are as important as dog shit stuck at the bottom of your shoe.
