Neither Jack Ma nor Raja Petra, denials not believable

Raja Petra Kamaruddin was requested to retract a posting he claimed Jack Ma met Lim Guan Eng and Tony Pua in Hong Kong to explain the reason Alibaba.com will not invest in Malaysia. The reason was new government's inability to honour its promises and agreements.

RPK had retracted the posting and published AliBaba.com's letter. The original posting can be found in The Coverage here.

But it is no victory of PH to shame RPK and nothing their unschooled cybertrooper could gloat that RPK was caught lying. For any true writer, especially those with brass balls like RPK, there will always be hits and misses.

This is not a miss yet. Informed media and IT sources alerted yours truly of the meeting. The Alibaba.com founder may have denied, but it's substantial shareholderand the Jack Ma the Chinese Communist Party member could have said those words.

Despite the retraction, RPK had not gone down on his knees to apologise but had fun twisting it towards Clare Rewcastle Brown. The retraction is just a strategic withdrawal to continue to fight on another day.

Although the diplomatic businessman may have given complimentary words to Tun Dr Mahathir during his call in June last year and met him together with Lim Guan Eng, it was to test out the new government.

Jack Ma was invited by Guan Eng to Penang to review their e-commerce planMore than a week  later, Penang government was still reiterating the same invitationwithout any progress. Till today, no update of Jack Ma' accepting the invite. .

After a year, it is not a surprise that Guan Eng and his befuddling wunder boy, Oxfordian Tony Pua  made the trip to Hong Kong. It is not difficult to check with kaki inside Immigration.

Jack Ma came in June 2018 with intention to mend any broken ties from the hurtful election campaign of Mahathir and PH. He did what any businessmen would do to 'solve common problems'.

Since then, Malaysian government continued to worsen relation with China.

Guan Eng was the first person that China Chinese met but he acted in a condescending manner to the Chinese delegates in the guise of trade NGO.

China has retaliated by not buying any more palm oil from Malaysia and source it cheaper from Indonesia. Only recently did they realised they had to switch oil palm for bamboo planting and plant pineapples on fishermen's limited or no land around their home.

The day Tun Daim met the Prime Minister of China, Li Keqiang in July last year, it was the day Guan Eng "got" MACC to raid on the contractor of ECRL, CCCC.

It was convenient diversion to his Penang tunnel controversy. And, it is suspicious that the meeting with Jack Ma story appeared after the revival of the Penang tunnel and Parliament Speaker decision to stop any debates on the tunnel issue that came from Malaysia Today revelation.

Subsequent to the meeting with Keqiang, it resulted in no niceties exchanged between Mahathir and the Chinese Premier when Mahathir visited China. The military reception for Mahathir was held indoor as though it is shameful to be seen publicly to respect the man.

Government officials will come out with their standard denial, but among businessman, the talk is China is pulling everything out of Malaysia.

The Digital Free Trade Zone was something to look forward for people and it involves the participation of Alibaba.com and Huawei in its development.

Upon being appointed Minister, Gobind Singh had to make the statement to emphasise DTFZ is not just Alibaba.com.

Jack Ma denied Beijing had forced him out to retire, but it could be face saving. It is not a surprise substantial shareholder of Alibaba.com only treated Jack Ma kinder than they did to Wanda for trying to move in with Tan Sri Irwan on China government's interest in Bandar Malaysia.

Malaysian government also cancelled the China-interest Bandar Malaysia project.

Jack Ma could deny and RPK is far away. In the United Kingdom. The source of the info are in Malaysia and highly reliable. The message given by the Jack Ma in the alleged meeting in Hong Kong is real.

That language is the China government language. The Chinese may have told off Tun Daim that they are holding on to the agreement with Najib on ECRL and even Bandar Malaysia.

If the DTFZ work had not started, China owned Alibaba.com and Huawei may have been left out of their promised role and stake in DTFZ.

Mahathir prefer doing business with Japan. They offered Malaysia expensive Samurai Bond at nearly 5% with foreign exchange risk and still we took it.

AliBaba.com and Hua Wei could have pulled out too. After all, Khazanah sold their stake in AliBaba.com.

Jack Ma realised he was wasting his time. He had only committed to rent only a small space in Bangsar South. And, he did not cancel his eWTP plan for Thailand.

Malaysians sceptical of his first eWTP location to Malaysia could be right. Jack Ma was still at the initial stage of testing the water.

Like the rest of China's government investment, Jack Ma is likely to join his government to pack up and leave Malaysia too.

Is "Perhimpunan Merah" the answer to Bersih color revolution?

Leaked Memo Shows George Soros NGOs Paid Macedonian Students $1,500 to Think of Regime Change Ideas

George Soros NGOs commissioned Serbian regime change specialist group, Canvas, to recruit Macedonian students to push for protest ideas, with the best two winning $1,500 for betraying their nation

This article originally appeared at Red Pill Times

While shocking to have these types of memos out in the open, it also should come as no surprise to anyone to see George Soros NGOs up to no good, and doing the bidding of their CIA backers.

Remember, Macedonia is a critical link into getting Gaxprom Turk Stream gas into Europe market…something the US government is 100% opposed too.

The fact that Soros is partnering up again with the Serbian based Canvas group is telling of a greater plan to instigate a Ukraine Maidan style of overthrow, and possible wider conflict in the heart of Europe.

The United Arab Emirates has listed Canvas in the same ranks as Al-Qaeda, and their handy work in organising and implementing color revolutions includes bringing down Milosevic, Ukraine Euromaidan, Mubarak’s Egypt downfall, and some experts even believe Canvas may have been a part of the murder of Russian opposition leader Nemtsov.

Via Macedonia Online News…

The gang pretending to be NGOs and trained to overthrow Governments and stage Coups around the world is paying $1,500 for ideas how to better organize demonstrations, reports Vecer.

That gang is Soros’ Open Society Institute, USAid (Front for the CIA) and the Forum Group (another Soros “NGO”). This group has already backed and financed not just the Macedonian opposition SDSM, but their activists & protests, dating back to 2011.

Serbian based Canvas led by Srgja Popovic who specializes in demonstrations has been hired both by Soros and the CIA to “help” in Macedonia. Canvas has gained quite the notoriety. Namely, the UAE has listed Canvas in the same ranks as Al-Qaeda, it is the only non-muslim terrorist organization!

Canvas and Srgja Popovic were instrumental in bringing chaos to Ukraine (look at Ukraine today) and in removing Egypt’s Hosni Mubarak from power (look at Egypt now).

Canvas members have managed to get themselves permanently banned from ever entering Russia, but they are welcome in the Macedonian capital. Soros Open Society Institute and the CIA via its fronts (PNAC, NED, USAid) have hired Canvas to do work in Macedonia. Canvas issued a memo to Macedonian students (three weeks prior to protests) that they would award the two best protest ideas with $1,500.

The ideas were sent to Sonja Ismail, daughter of Guner Ismail, a popular SDSM member and official. Several years ago Sonja Ismail was the focus of investigation for illegally owning three state owned apartments through her father (SDSM official) that she rented out for years, earning over 300,000 euros.

Canvas first earned its notoriety for bringing down Milosevic. But it didn’t stop there. Canvas was repeatedly hired by the CIA to organize protests in Gruzia, Moldavia, the Maldives, Lebanon, Egypt, Ukraine…. Canvas first appeared in Macedonia in 2009, when it became apparent the SDSM will be in opposition once again. The thug for hire himself Srgja Popovic was present in Ohrid to christen the opening of a “Canvas Academy” where future protesters and activists would be trained and be called upon when the time is right.

Who was the financier of this academy? USAID and Soros. Soros employees Gjuner Ismail and Sasho Ordanovski were the promoters.

“Students were paid and aggresively trained on how to protest in December of 2014 and January of 2015. Srgja Popovic himself showed up and met with Zaev in March, April and early May 2015. On May 6th Canvas (SDSM) activists violently attacked policemen, injuring 38″, reported Vecer.

Canvas was heavily involved in the death of Russian opposition leader Nemtsov, just few days before the opposition protest. The goal was to destabilize the situation, create internal conflict. But most Russian saw through the orchestrated murder for what it was, an ordered hit. When one takes into account the wife of Canvas’ leader worked at Stratfor (another CIA front), then things become clear, says Vecer.

Prior to Canvas, Serbia had another group created by undercover NGOs. It was called “Otpor”, financed by Freedom House, another front for the CIA. Even the UN investigated Freedom House for their ties to the CIA. Members of Otpor have today joined the ranks of Canvas.

Is "Perhimpunan Merah" the answer to Bersih color revolution?

The Russian have long suspected that US covert operation involving NED, Freedom House, George Soros, and NATO were behind attempt to start a color revolution in Russia. [Read here and here]. In Macedonia, Soros was detected to give money to students [read here].

NED and Soros involvement to fund Bersih, Malaysiakini, Sarawak report, SUARAM, Bar Council, etc is an open secret.

In March this year, RT, formerly Russia Today website reported that the Russian is undertaking a research to counter color revolution. [read RT here]. Part of their strategy would likely be joint collaboration with China as Tass News Agency [read here] reported statement of Deputy Defense Minister, Anatoly Anatonov after the Umbrella Revolution in Hong Kong in November last year.

Already color revolution NGO are being crackdown [read FB here]. More on possible strategy by Rusia in this You Tube here and article here.

Putin have given a stern warning that color revolution will never take place in Rusia. In this news report here, he told security officials:

"People should understand that instigating conflict between people of different ethnic and religious background, the promotion of nationalist ideology, mass violations of public order and calls for forceful overthrow of the existing regime are all ... direct manifestations of extremism."

As written in a previous posting here, Bersih has progressed in accordance with the Gene Sharpe manual from issues of freedom, election and democrasy to calling for the downfall of national leader. It is time for stern action.

Malaysian security official is aware of Bersih as a covert operation with link to NED, George Soros and front NGOs.

Bersih and associated organisation is funded by foreign organisation for this purpose.

Even Transparency International that had their conference recently and used the occasion to promote Bersih and stooge opposition agenda are linked to NED and Soros.

As per the Russian view, Bersih is viewed as a color revolution designed to bring about regime change.

Forget what Ezam has to say but note the analysis of Dr Chandra Muzaffar. The regime change is to be replaced by someone friendly to them. The hidden hands are seeking to place Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim as their stooge.

What would government's response to Bersih?

Off course, the action taken by Russia would be deemed to stern and Malaysia need to play this delicately in view of the balancing act between the two superpower of US and China.

An article in Land Destroyer Report of 2012 entitled A Counter-Color Revolution in Thailand? suggested the Thai experience as the counter to color revolution.

In the Thai experience, the pro-Thaksin red colored group were backing a government that was serving as Western stooge. Thaksin Shinawatra's background as adviser of Carlyle Group affirms his affiliation.

As pointed out by Dr Chandra, the interest of the west with Malaysia and Thailand is to gain control of the biggest and most important sea lane in world in the Straits of Malacca.

Thaksin had the support of the west. Edelmen media group's role was clearly seen. He was Prime Minister from 2001 to 2006 and He was ousted in a millitary coup in 2006.

With help from his neo-con allies, Thaksin ran a media campaign against the Thai government.

He operated from abroad to influence Thai politics through his People's Power Party that ruled in 2008, and its successor organization Pheu Thai Party, as well as the United Front for Democracy Against Dictatorship or "red shirt" movement.

He started a color revolution that saw the country's politics split into a conflict between two groups:

Thaksin group was red and the anti Thaksin group together as a response with the yellow colour. Behind the groups are:

Thaksin could still not return but managed to put his sister, Yingluck Shinawatra as Prime Minister from 2011 to 2014. Yingluck was removed by the constitutional court for abuse of power and is currently being charged.

The profile of yellow and red group in Thailand could not be the same but could the same formula apply and be the counter color revolution strategy much sought by the Russian and Chinese.

Where the yellow one demanded Najib to quit, the red one is demanding that the democratically elected leader to stay.

Yellow one is not the only people power in town. The red one is also the voices of people power and holding power. Thus far their presence is larger in number though some will intentionally wish to doubt.

And, seen together is Nik Abduh, the Youth Leader of PAS.

By visibility alone, it is fair to say that the yellow ones are not the only representation of rakyat. The red may face critics from supporters of one particular Bersih 4.0 attendee but their visible presence yesterday at Padang Merbuk and at the Hari Malaysia event in Kota Kinabalu is sufficient to say they have every right to be heard too.

With that past, maybe it is time to really test the real voice of the rakyat through their representative. Dato Najib should be a gentleman and go for the vote of no confidence in early October.

It is a good test on Najib's leadership. If he succeed, he has legitimacy to stay and let the people decide on him in the next general election. There is likelihood that Najib will pass the Parliamentary test.

This is despite some non-Parliamentarian in UMNO and Bersih 4.0 attendee is actively in discussion with Azmin Ali, Saifuddin Nasution, Johari Abdul and Rafizi for a collaboration to oust Najib in the manner of Tony Abbot [read CNN here].

That is making Speaker Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia reluctant to allow. What would the Chief Whip say?

Why Khairuddin had to be arrested explained

rocky's bru

It's SABOTAGE! IGP, in Makkah, explains why Khairuddin had to be arrested

"INI JELAS MERUPAKAN SATU TINDAKAN YANG BERTUJUAN MENCABAR SISTEM PERUNDANGAN MALAYSIA, MENCALAR KREDIBILITI AGENSI PENGUATKUASA TEMPATAN DAN MENGUNDANG CAMPUR TANGAN ASING DALAM SISTEM DEMOKRASI NEGARA INI. TINDAKAN BELIAU INI MERUPAKAN SATU BENTUK SABOTAJ YANG BOLEH MENJEJASKAN KESTABILAN EKONOMI DAN KEDAULATAN NEGARA INI." Khalid Abu Bakar, Inspector-General of Police, via Facebook

"This is clearly and act to challenge the Malaysian legal system, taint the credibility of local enforcement agencies, and open Malaysia's democratic system to foreign interference. His action is a form of sabotage that can destabilise this country's economy and sovereignty."

If there's one thing I will not stand for, it's Malaysians who go running to foreign authorities to undermine their own  people back home, claiming that they'd exhausted all avenues for recourse locally. That was why I could not support Hindraf, Bersih, and MCLM, to name a few, or when the Opposition went overseas purportedly to get anti-graft authorities there to arrest their political foes government instead of putting their trust in our own MACC. I'm all for Malaysians abroad like Bakri Musa and (more recently) RPK who make it their part time job to criticize the country and her leaders in their writings and speeches when they could have enjoyed their haze-free days and Umnoless lives. Theirs, no matter how harsh and blunt, are constructive criticisms and not acts of sabotage.

But Khairuddin, he's never known for being critical of anything. Until his police report against the 1MDB late last year, he was an obscure local Umno leader in Opposition-ruled Penang remembered for his notorious role as the publisher of the 50 Dalil book that helped bring down Anwar Ibrahim, then the Deputy Prime Minister, for abuse of power and sodomy. In the past weeks, Khairuddin has lodged reports against PM Najib Razak in the UK, Switzerland, France and Hong Kong.

This week he was supposed to have flown to the US to get the FBI to investigate Najib and 1MDB for money laundering or stuff like that.

Stuff which, accoridng to Dr M, could lead to Najib's arrest once he leaves Malaysia

Dr Mahathir’s Exercise In Futility

So, if you really want the west and the US to help you oust Najib, then you need to convince them that Najib is anti-west and that what he is doing is detrimental to the safety and security of the west and the US. If not, even if Najib did do what you say he did, that, as far as the west and the US are concerned, is an internal matter that does not involve any foreign governments.

THE CORRIDORS OF POWER

Raja Petra Kamarudin

Khairuddin Abu Hassan, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s proxy, has gone to a few countries to lodge corruption reports against Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak. Yesterday, he was supposed to have flown to London via New York where he was scheduled to have a meeting with the FBI on Monday. The purpose of this exercise is to get the western countries to take action against Najib regarding the alleged abuse of power or corruption involving 1MDB.

This is the same strategy that Suaram adopted when they lodged a complaint with the French court alleging that Najib was involved in the murder of Altantuya Shaariibuu. The French replied that this was an internal matter for Malaysia, which the French authorities would not get involved in.

What the French will investigate, however, is whether there was any element of corruption in the Scorpene submarine contract and whether, if there was corruption, it involves French companies. Even if there was corruption involved, and if it does not involve French companies but is an entirely Malaysian affair, then France would also not get involved.

This reminds me of the Manuel Noriega case back in the 1980s. Noriega, the military dictator of Panama, was said to be involved in drug trafficking. Panama was being used by Pablo Emilio Escobar Gaviria as the transit point to smuggle drugs from Colombia into the US.

Escobar, ‘The King of Cocaine’, was the wealthiest criminal in history with an estimated known net-worth of US$50 billion. But Escobar was anti-Communist, and so was Noriega, so the US did not do anything. It was only when Noriega began to do deals with the Communists that the US invaded Panama and arrested him.

So the US did deals with even the biggest drug lords as long as they were enemies of the enemies of the US. Only when they made deals with the enemies of the US did the US whack them good and proper.

Such is the attitude of the US and the western countries. They make deals with Iraq and the Taliban as long as these terrorists are friends of the west. They will even finance these terrorist groups and supply them with weapons as long as the weapons are used against the enemies of the west.

The west does not give a damn whether you are a dictator or corrupt to the core. What you do in your own country is your business. Only when what you do threatens or compromises western interest does the west begin to get concerned. That is the reality of the western attitude, the US included.

Fidel Castro removed the corrupt government of Cuba, which the US was propping up. But Castro was Communist. So Castro, and not the corrupt Cuban government he ousted, became the enemy of the US.

So, even if Najib did abuse his power as alleged, and even if there was corruption regarding 1MDB as alleged, do you think the west and the US really care as long as Najib does not declare that he is pro-China or pro-ISIS and is anti-US?

This is part of the speech that Najib made in the US back in 2002 when he was the Defence Minister and Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad was Prime Minister:

Historically, Malaysia has been a steady, reliable friend of the United States. Our multitude of common interests include trade and investment on a sizeable scale and security cooperation across a range of fronts. An equally important point is the common values our two countries share, including a commitment to democracy, religious tolerance, and equality for all our diverse citizens. In times like these — in a time of war — it is these values that bind nations together.

Malaysian forces regularly conduct joint training with United States counterparts, and the United States routinely enjoys access to Malaysian airfields and ports. Also, Malaysia provides one of the few bases outside the United States for U.S. military jungle-warfare training. U.S. troops are warmly welcomed in Malaysia and enjoy training there.

As you can see, cooperation between our two nations started long before September 11, 2001. But the horrific events of that day galvanized our relationship as never before. Prime Minster Mahathir has been vocal in condemning the attacks, and we have been happy to provide an elevated level of cooperation with the United States on the range of fronts.

Beyond our bilateral cooperation with the United States, Malaysia has been at the forefront of prosecuting terrorists within our region. The capture in December of Philippine terrorists in Malaysia and the subsequent arrests of al-Qaeda-linked terrorists cells in Malaysia and Singapore have underscored the need for regional coordination, which we are actively advocating. Some 62 terrorists and militias with global and regional links have been arrested under our Internal Security Act, and more are currently being hunted down.

So you see, that is what matters to the US. They can tolerate Marcos and Suharto and will help them stay in power as long as they are friends and not enemies of the US. And even if it were true that Najib did do what they allege he did regarding 1MDB, that is extremely small potatoes compared to what the other friends of the US did over the last 30 years or so. If not, the US would have helped Anwar Ibrahim oust Dr Mahathir way back in the 1990s.

Arsenic poisoning and HIV virus injection

Arsenic poisoning and HIV virus injection

Ever since Dato Khairuddin Hasan and Matthias Chang made their trips to few overseas financial centre to make various report to foreign authorities, there have been a deluge of unsubstantiated reports on Dato Najib and 1MDB.

WSJ, whose rather fond of Malaysia these days, reported of responsive investigation, accounts frozen, Najib-owned company accounts in Hong Kong, and the latest unpaid money due to IPIC for US$1.3 billion and later an additional RM1.0 billion. [refer to 1MDB's reply to the allegations here and here.]

Over the weekend, Washington Post and several other foreign media called on President Obama to severe relationship with Najib.

One pro-Tun blogger proudly put up postings on the list of foreign news agencies giving negative report on Malaysia including the unconfirmed WSJ report of FBI investigating Najib.

As one of the early cyber warrior from the reformasi days, he failed to realise that they are emulating reformasi play-by-play. Reformasi painted perception of CIA and FBI investigating Tun M, and now same by Tun M?

Maybe it's in the plan to pressure Najib internationally in the same vein as Iraq's WMD. Perhaps someone learned a trick or two from meetings with Saifuddin Nasution, Johari Abdul, Azmin Ali and Rafizi Ramli in various places, including London and Yayasan Perdana office in Putrajaya. [Read past posting here].

Expect Dato Khairuddin Hasan to come out of remand to claim arsenic poisoning from the walls of the police lock-up. Not too far fetch, this cousin of Anwar Ibrahim could claim being injected with HIV virus. Second wife and actress, Ummi Aida to do a dramatic command performance to reveal it.

To the keen and not so gullible, it is glaringly noticeable Tun M and his team is behind the foreign media negative report. The reason it was pre-empted with the excuse Najib blocked all avenue to speak. Same trick applied from Pak Lah's days but only not true this time.

The sad part is Tun M was the person who taught Malaysians not be treasonous in consorting with foreigners and foreign media to undermine the country. Here it is he himself ending up the person breaking his very words.

And, his name or the names of people linked to him surfaced everywhere for consorting with foreign and local personalities and media people that are clearly linked to foreign covert operations and subversive elements dedicated to break-up the nation.

Tun M attended Bersih 4.0 but criticised Perhimpunan Merah that was attended by his sympathisers. Read Joceline Tan's last weekend.

One may argue it is necessary evil to topple Najib but using Gene Sharpe's color revolution and reformasi style demonstration is an act of toppling the government. [Good to read Rockybru here on reason for Khairuddin's arrest].

Tun M's team aren't concerned with getting their facts right or arguing consistent with court practise on evidence.

Some turned angry when being engaged for an intelligent debate. For lack of education, they are incapable of being thorough and have understanding deep enough with the whole picture clear. They could only see from the limited scope of getting the right angle and sensational headline to get their report published in the print media.

As much as facts does not matter but their compromised principle, they are as RPK rightly described as merely playing the game of perception [read his latest here] and doing trial by media in the court of public perception.

It means truth does not matter. And they are not concern with it too but to only bring Najib down by any means. It also explains why no interest to answer with evidence on the 7-months accusation that RM42 billion lesap and the insistent MACC-denied RM2.6 billion "donation" was linked to 1MDB.

Such attitude is antithesis to greater maturity in politics and bringing Malaysia towards Vision 2020. It is third world politics of taking advantage on the gullible masses.

Before anyone play the paid defender of Najib accusation game, read back our concern in the past posting, No solution in sight.

The gullible masses may not realise but it is beyond the FBI jurisdiction to investigate into Malaysian cases. For them to do so, they will need cooperation of Malaysian police and other local enforcement agencies.

As part of his drama act, Khairuddin's chief lawyer, Matthias Chang claimed the arrest was made to stop their meeting with the FBI. If FBI was keen on the case, these obsessive crime and murder mystery solver will come to Kuala Lumpur. Furthermore, they have global network. Find out what Hoover did for FBI.

Why the rush?

Firstly, there is the possibility they may have no plans to go to New York to see FBI but was only giving excuse to run away from the hands of the law.

Supposed they plan to, then it is likely that they need to convince FBI that there is an issue to be investigated. It means what had been provided are not convincing or of no value to American or FBI interest.

Will the American not take cognizance of the interest and face of their friendly allies, Saudi Arabia or Qatar?

Someone should ask how Xavier Justo end up getting caught and jailed in Thailand?

For Tun M to extend the lies, it is cheap politics that seize on public ignorance, an abuse of his statesmanship and unbecoming of an elderly person. How in hell would Najib be arrested under ICC's diplomatic immunity?

Many years ago, a Congo Ambassador was caught smuggling drugs for distribution into Belgium but the Belgian authorities cannot charge them. Unless Najib committed crime against humanity like mass murder, genocide and such, it won't happen.

Former head of state have a certain diplomatic immunity. If Tun M need to see Najib arrested and investigated, a certain southern hemisphere country would like to take a crack at him too.

From the practical standpoint of view, no Prime Minister or President have ever been arrested while in office and with their power. It makes no sense for any so-called claim that Najib tried to thwart attempt to arrest him.

They usually get arrested and charged when out of office.

In a previous posting here, we suggested learning from the Thai in countering color revolution. Tun M should learn from the Thai in getting Yingluck charged in court. He should bring Najib down first!

Maybe he is trying to.

Hopefully he will get Najib charged after toppling him because the last time around, he stopped seeking for charges against Pak Lah and Khairy. It happens so often in all the color revolutions - ACCUSE, TOPPLE AND FORGET.

By the look of it, RPK observed that Tun M looks sadly desperate and approaching futility [read here]. Najib will remain in office till next General Election and the pro-Tun will have their prayers to see BN lose answered.

Off course, just being sinister there. Election is a game of numbers. Do they know the numbers or it is just game of perception?

However, Tun M has one way of getting Najib to fall.

As what Tan Sri Zeti was quoted saying by pro-opposition media yesterday for 1MDB to explain, Tun M should be a gentleman to explain himself and put out his evidences.

His accusations hidden as questions have been replied but he is insistent. What more with him not trusting Auditor General report. The onus is now on him to prove.

Hope the people around him removed any attitude of painting anyone not blindly following him as traitors or paid mercenaries and bring forward this suggestions.

Few days ago we sent a sinister message to a political source that swore by Wall Street Journal report. Response has been silent.

His argument was similar to Dato Ibrahim Ali believing the 1MDB accusations just because Tun Dr Mahathir and Tengku Razaleigh said so. It is fine to take account the credibility of one's source but loud mouth must understand the facts and comb through the reports before talking.

It has to be factually right and make sense. Otherwise, they are in dire need for treatment of a Malay pychological disease called feudel blind loyalty.

Expectedly, there will be those taking the road to argue Najib should sue WSJ. Why be dumb?

Like Khir Toyo whose final judgement is due at 2:00 PM, judgement takes forever and Najib would find himself losing his Prime Ministership. His replacement will not give way should he be acquited.

The political style argument to reply would be why not Tun M sue Barry Wain for accusing him of swindling US$100 billion?

Since the RM2.6 billion is about political funding, sue those asking why only RM1.2 billion money was handed over to Pak Lah when UMNO used to own the Fleet Group business empire that must be worth say RM100 billion today.

Alhamdulillah! Kleptocracy revealed?

It must have been a relief for some.

After months of posting quotes, which was indicative of a frustrating wait and stuck to endless recycling of issues that is not attracting attention, the new development must be god-send. Has truth arrived and the end of months turning year of regurgitating rhetorics and copy and paste?

WSJ or SR will never attract the attention. Neither did the term Kleptocrasy Asset Recovery Initiative. It sounded like KARI. Something closely associated with Geng Loceng. When a friend rang to inform that Jho Loh and his Arab associates will be rounded up by FBI, that was an attention grabber.

For few years, the suspicion had always been at Jho Loh and arrogant Shahrul. Arrogance is a convenient act to cover-up guilt and facade to push away nosy suspicious minds. Shahrul created suspicion on 1MDB in the engagement he did years ago. Only after a while, it was scaled down to only him and that fat chai. Riza is something new. Maybe FBI finally managed to connect the dots.

Must say this development is a "Alhamdulillah". As any Muslim should, be it good or bad times, we should always say All Praises to Allah.

It nurture a positive attitude within us, gives hope, and dispel negative thoughts. In good times, we praise Allah as thank for the bounty bestowed upon us. While, in bad times, we express the gratitude for not being any worse.

Kleptocracy, a big word

"Alhamdulillah", the latest development allowed us to learn a new word, Kleptocracy.

It helped to increase our vocabulary. Being a "left-brainer", language never interest us. Good grammar, expansive vocabulary and creativity in writing was not essential to get college degree in mathematics and sciences.

"Alhamdulillah" also because it had been awhile that a new big word entered our vocabulary. The last one was recalcitrant.

It is supposed to mean stubborn. Bosses who insist on doing something out of the norm, despite being advised against, can be considered recalcitrant. Same with someone insisting to be right, despite being rationally told wrong, can be one. Someone repeatedly lost out at every anticipated move but still continuing to fight can be recalcitrant or a fighter.

The word kleptocracy sounds awful. It sounds almost like that STI known as clap or drip. If hypocrisy is the behaviour of hypocrite, then kleptocracy could be the behaviour or phenomenon of clap. That is why it sounds awful. It is as awful as hypocrisy too.

Hypocrisy is the behavior of people who do things that they tell other people not to do OR behavior that does not agree with what someone claims to believe or feel.

Some Geng Loceng have been going around calling others immoral and corrupt but yet their idols, be it here or the other side of the Malaysian compass, are allegedly super-corrupt. Calling others makan dedak but an unemployed could rent in a posh neighbourhood and acquire brand new car and four-wheeler in loud colour.

Everyone can be a hypocrite in one way or another but all we have been promoting is about being sensible, fair and proper due process.

And, these Geng Loceng goes around like Malays but they are not. They could not appreciate the Malay proverb, "menarik benang dalam tepong". Their subtlety is that of bulls in a Spanish bull-fighting arena.

They call others hypocrits but they are equally hypocrits themselves for going back on words said for many decades and now covorting wth DAP and reformasi.

Nevertheless, for whatever is worth, "Alhamdulillah".

Now that it is now known that the term kleptoracy was introduced in 2012 by IDEAS. Yes, it's that bunch of young people talking on every subject and thinking they are already up there as think tank. Cari kerja pun masih nak minta short-cut and not work their way up.

This is one problem with young intelligent boys but still wet behind the ears in experience and wisdom. If they want to talk in big words, the least they could do is provide a meaning to it. All that was available is below:

The list should not end at the lack of integrity of civil service but should begin from where the interference, by-passing and degradation of the institution started.

At the same time, the breakdown of the judiciary system begin.

Democrasy in UMNO ended with the many moves to prevent challenge to their leadership. All these eventually led to privatisation which the rakyat has to bear the rising cost till today and yet someone else gets the blame for rising cost of consumer goods.

They remove certain power of rulers but they hypocritically perpetuate feudelism and insist on blind loyalty from their followers. without shame, they now seeking audience with Agong.

Not sure whether Masterji "Alhamdulillah" can remove the arrogance to cover-up his shortcoming and acknowledge the same. Without hypocrisy, only can we then truly talk of creating a better Malaysia and with confidence and "right standing" to talk of getting rid of kleptocracy in society.

Using KARI for persepsi

The intention to stop kleptocracy is good in theory. The FBI blog described kleptocracy as part of their program to combat international corruption. An extract below:

Kleptocracy is a form of political corruption in which the ruling government seeks personal gain and status at the expense of the governed, literally meaning “the rule by thieves.” Through graft and embezzlement of state funds, corrupt leaders amass tremendous wealth at the expense of the broader populace. Some of the most egregious examples have occurred in countries with very high rates of poverty. The inherent challenge for corrupt leaders is covertly expatriating and holding money in secure locations where it can be accessed in the future. Generally, that requires international movement of funds. When transfers occur in U.S. dollars or transit the U.S. banking system, federal money laundering jurisdiction is established. The FBI initiates money laundering investigations to trace the international movement of assets and, in conjunction with foreign partners, forfeit and repatriate assets back to legitimate authorities in victim countries.

Among the most challenging money laundering investigations are those targeting “gatekeepers,” which may include bankers, brokerage houses, trust companies, attorneys, accountants, money managers, notaries, or real estate agents. ICU investigates these international business people who provide professional services to illicit actors wishing to disguise the source or nature of their money. These insiders have unique knowledge concerning the financial and legal systems in which they operate, making detection difficult. ICU’s kleptocracy program is run in close coordination with DOJ’s Kleptocracy Asset Recovery Initiative (KARI), part of the broader Priority International Money Laundering Threat (PIMLAT) violation.

Catching crooked and corrupt leaders is one thing but there must be an international asset recovery to make it worthy.

"Alhamdulillah", Allah has heard all the prayers of those struggling against the evils of corruption and seeking truth and justice. Opps ... did we say truth and justice?

Yes, off course we did. Before asset are seized, the evil doers must be caught and the law must be allowed to run its course. After all, we believe in the rule of law and our decision and action must be in accordance with the rule of law.

It must not be on perception:

May not agree with certain part of the video but that is the big picture.

The due process has not began and even Najib said that the law will be enforced without exception from the beginning when it started, but Mahathir have asked to see Agong, calling for a referendum to remove Najib, and want to hit the streets.

As Rocky wrote, "Najib's name is not there". The US, Swiss, Malaysian and Singapore authorities are not suspecting and investigating him. Or maybe not yet as many like to believe certain reports.

This anarchy in the making and hypocrisy at work by Mahathir.

Not criminal proceeding?

Before we get emotional and worked up, our good captain gave a wake-up call:

Wonder how rat clitoris looks like, vertical or horizontal?

Masya Allah and Astaghfirullah, let's have some fun and light-hearted intermission:

Good comedy usually comes from seeing the lighter-side of something so obvious or from possibilities that cannot be thought of like here and here.

Truly enough, this KARI thing is different from the Alagapal and Alapagas that Malaysians are accustomed to. And so happen the courts are filled with Indian. However, an Indian friend used to joke, "I am an Indian and am proud of it. But I am not a Keling!"

Lawyer and Pahang UMNO politician, Dato Shamsuddin Nawawi commented:

And someone with some familiarity with all this strange foreign legal procedurescommented:

This latest US episode sounds like it is similar to what we have been led to believe about a trial in France. And after viewing the video of yesterday’s press conference, it appears like the US Department of Justice was talking about suspicions rather than facts that have been proven. In response to the questions they said investigations are still ongoing and some of the facts cannot be confirmed yet.

Is this US excitement going to end up like that French excitement of a few years ago? Even the complainant in that French episode has closed down and no longer exists. After all these years no one is telling us anything about that so-called trial in a French court that did not exist.

So before I get all excited and rush to Washington, like I did to Paris a few years ago, let us see where all this is going.

Quite sure someone will say they do not believe RPK and claim he changed according to his paymaster, but that someone will likely believe WSJ and SR.

Some will say this is stalling the inevitable and why let the due process waste valuable time. It is time to take the bull by the horn. Off course, these Geng Locengbarging like Spanish bull need to be slowed down because they thrive on emotion, chaos, and anarchy.

Nothing do the bulls hate than a rational crowd and those taking time to digest the happening. Taking a cuppa and sipping it slowly.

Conspiracy?

This is not a criminal case but a civil case. The steps are still a long way before the perpetrators get sent to the slammer and some black dude get a piece of Jho Loh's white butt.

However, the damage on Malaysia is already be detrimental. Though we doubt because it was amateurish work, many Malaysians especially reformasi supporters and Islamist believed the military coup on Turkey President, Teyyip Erdogan was an attempt by American to control Turkey in the light of Russian presence in the area.

What makes this to be no different from the "Malaysian springs" of the past?

ANALYSIS OF THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE CIVIL LAWSUITS

1. The US is a strong and powerful country, but this does not make them automatically right, or clever. The US Government has the largest military, diplomatic, intelligence and analytic resources that any government has ever had, and they still took a war and thousands of their sons’ lives into Iraq to destroy weapons of mass destruction that did not exist, and had never existed. They can be misled and they can be unintentionally misleading.

2. The actions of the US Attorney General this week are far less risky. There is no criminal indictment of anyone. The Attorney General spent much of her presentation making it clear that the intention of this action is to send a message to the world, that improper use of its banking system would not be tolerated. Unlike most Governments, the US Department of Justice can apply to a court to seize assets for which THEY DON’T NEED TO PROVE ANY WRONGDOING. Crazy, but true.

3. Under US law, the Government have the right to seize assets, and challenge the owners to respond. Those owners will not be tried for any crime, but would have to persuade a court to recover the assets, against the might of the US Department of Justice… which in this case is channelling a tidal wave of political disinformation about Malaysia, originating in part from Tun Mahathir Mohamad’s Anti Najib Coalition.

4. The US Government has said that the assets they want to seize belonged to 1MDB. Well, not according to the accountants and auditors and bankers. Whatever criticisms of the way 1MDB management conducted itself, whatever the weaknesses in its processes and business operations, these authorities do not report a loss that in any way matches what the US Department of Justice thinks that it has found. Admittedly, not for the first time the US Government is being outstripped by Tun Mahathir who claims to have found a 42 billion hole in 1MDB accounts. They cannot both be right. They are both wrong.

5. The reason for this is very simple. These huge sums and movements refer to operations in the Middle East outside 1MDB that have never been under the control of 1MDB or Malaysia. Where 1MDB has refused to repay a debt to a UAE company, it has not been because it couldn’t, but in order to bring to court disputes all of which arise from confusing and reportedly improper dealings in the UAE, not Malaysia.

6. When money has been lent to Malaysia, or borrowed from Malaysia, it has been paid back. In 2009, 1MDB invested with PetroSaudi International in foreign oil assets. The asset contributed by the Saudi partner failed, but they paid back the Malaysian contribution, with interest. They borrowed further from Malaysia, in an Islamic financial bond, and discharged the debt in full.

7. It is easy to confuse the investment relationship with PetroSaudi, then part-owned by a Saudi prince, with the extraordinary close relationship of the Prime Minister with the late King Abdullah. Both involved major flows of finance through complex banking arrangements organised by the Saudi counterparts. Those wishing to destabilise Malaysia have deliberately combined the two and this has given rise to gross misrepresentation. But these were separate issues, and accounted separately to Bank Negara.

8. As to the disputed funds originating from UAE, which the US wishes to seize: It is clear that the disputed funds relate to money flows OUTSIDE Malaysia, and OUTSIDE 1MDB’s businesses. The US Government should remember that individuals and companies are innocent unless proven guilty.

9. The Malaysian situation is clear. The two priorities of this Government must be to ensure that Malaysia’s wealth is safe, and economy growing; and to ensure that all live in harmony and security. Malaysian foreign policy is driven by strong leadership, and by close relationships with countries that understand the extraordinary job that this Government has done for so long in managing racial and social cohesion and the economy.

10. The US Attorney General’s speech echoed all the familiar attacks on Malaysia by our critics. When the US Government gains access to the information that the Saudi and Malaysian authorities have had for some time, maybe they will realise the disinformation they’ve been fed by Tun Mahathir’s ANC members in Malaysia.‎

The persons going around doing selfies in front of offices of enforcement agencies around the world have been Khairuddin Hassan and Matthias Chang. [read back hereand here]. The complainants could include the likes of Rupert Murdoch and Clare Rewcastle Brown.

Still a long way

Before we get worked up by subversive and agitators from the other side, a recent NYT report wrote the following:

Justice Department figures show that the government has taken possession of only around $120 million — about 8 percent of what it is seeking. And most of that money came from a single case involving Kazakhstan.

“Challenges in these cases are huge,” said Alexander W. Sierck, a lawyer representing Nigerian nonprofits in the Abacha case. “Justice has a lot of people working on this stuff and has only been able to get a small percentage of the assets.”

The global track record is not much better. The Stolen Asset Recovery Initiative, a World Bank and United Nations anti-money-laundering effort, estimates that of the $20 billion to $40 billion lost to developing countries annually through corruption, only about $5 billion has been repatriated in the last 15 years. And much of that disappeared without a trace.

1MDB is no halaalan toyyiba and this blog have accepted it way before anyone out there are aware of Terenganu Investment Agency. However, the wrong person must not be blame for the political expediency and power craze of a former tyrant.

The What, Who, Where, When, Why and How must be clearly established. Respect the due process and allow it to take it's course. If there is no trust in the Malaysian judiciary due to interference that was practised in the past, its anyone's right to trust the American and assume they have no ulterior.

Just do not be stupid.

Fast forward to 20:50 for full annoouncement. Somewhere [50:30] she basically said, "We are unable to provide specifics." "Alhamdulillah".

What is the enigmatic Daim up to?

The latest Zunar caricature on Malaysiakini poked fun at Tun Daim.

He was depicted as a go-between the PM and Cabinet members, but "no position, got power", "power over khazanah", and "power to do business deal with China government".

For Zunar to draw the caricature, he may have sense public dissatisfaction, and PH leaders and politicians bottled up frustration.

Nurul sentiment, Anwar manouvre

It coincide with a new episode in Nurul Izzah's frustration to announce giving up on politics by GE15.

It may not be anymore about not getting parental blessing to marry a Mat Salleh as one rumour is going around.

Nurul continued the frustration theme by mentioning a former dictator in latest announcement. She convenietly used the extension of PPBM crossover Dato Ronald Kiandee for PAC chairmanship as excuse to reiterate her stand.

There were the usual exchanges surrounding her latest statement. Naturally, the pro-Azmin supporters are vocal and even Azmin defended Mahathir.

This time around Tun Dr Mahathir responded with a political answer that he too is frustrated with PH government. The old man realised Nurul's statement is attacking him and appeal to grassroot.

Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim came out to reply to Azmin but in typical Anwar fashion to cover all angle, he defended Nurul right to express herself and reiterate his family support for Mahathir.

Behind the scene, Anwar is complaining Mahathir is back to his old habit. Anwar's old habit in his attack of Mahathir is to point the gun at Daim.

Whether he has it or not, like 916, Anwar confided to an MP that he has 125 seats. The MP then said, if you are serious of wanting to be PM, then take the DPM post from his wife.

"No, I do not want to quarrel with Mahathir again," Anwar allegedly said.

The MP responded, "If you do, he will send you in again. Unlike Najib, he does not care whether you did anything wrong".

Apparently, Anwar is doing something. He is expected to make his move after Raya at the time Mahathir should be doing a cabinet reshuffle.

There is speculation and Mahathir's confidante, Dato Khairuddin Abu Hassan warned of something to happen between May to October.

Reggie Jessy believed it will be a mass defection from PH.

Daim on Malay insecurity

Since December's posting, Daim begin to reappear in the public sphere again after a brief hiatus upon completion of CEP finding.

Heard he has been doing a bit of travelling and working on top of his regular visit to his dialysis centre.

Daim reappeared at an event in UTM Johor. There was a comment made on politicising of education, but the more interesting from a political and economical standpoint was his view on Malay's insecurity.

An extract from Malaysiakini is reproduced below:
Today, there is one Malay graduate for every 20 Malays. Despite being more educated and having a large educated segment, we are still unable to convince ourselves that Malays have nothing to fear in this country. Are Malays thinking strategically, critically and logically? It looks increasingly obvious every day that the Malays are thinking with their emotions instead of with their intellect. We must ask ourselves – what is happening to us?

We have allowed our emotions to run wild and influence the way we see others. We watch ghost movies at the box offices. When Mastika stopped writing ghost stories, circulation ended and now there is no more Mastika. Now instead of reading about ghosts in Mastika, we are seeing ghosts around every corner.

Instead of depending on logic and facts, we prefer to buy into the racist rhetoric of politicians with dubious reputations.

Since I am talking to academicians, I would like to pose this question to you: what role should you be playing in injecting some logic and fact into the Malaysia narrative? Do you intend to go along with the emotional flow or do you see it as your academic duty to question the irrational narratives that are being shoved down the Malays’ throats?

Do you as “the educated” speak honestly and bravely about what is happening or do you simply pretend that this growing racism is justified?
That is naturally music to their ears of those who view the Malay narrative as limited and shallow.

The praises on Daim do get overextended into realm beyond his discussion on education and Malay mindset such as Christchurch massacre and bordering on political critic of UMNO and PAS cooperation.

DAP's Prof Dr Tajuddin Rasdi expressed surprise to hear the view to come from a successful businessman that came out of Malay patronage to be talking within Malaysia-Melayu construct as oppose to the usual Melayu-Malaysia one.

On the other side, hastening NEP

Dr Tajuddin spoke too soon. He is appeasing his audience and going along the political flavour of the day.

Actually. there is no different in Tun Daim's thinking as this extract from Berita Harian report showed:

Read the lines highlighted in red with scepticism.

Since when is Daim concerned with technology and modern farming to help poor settlers padi planters fishermen, and farmers?

Mahathir chorusing Daim

Mahathir repeated Daim's theme in telling at a civil service event that the government need 3 years to revive the economy as he seek more patiance.

And voters were told PH will make peoples' life better than during Najib's term. People are not convince and expect Mahathir to retaliate by piling up more charges on Najib.

The extract from Sundaily report of the event:
Dr Mahathir said the cooperation of the civil servants is necessary for them to understand the problems the country faces, including the over RM1 trillion debt that has made the country’s financial situation most difficult.

“That’s why we were forced to cancel mega programmes that the previous government initiated, scheduled or implemented. We have had to reduce the expenditure on these huge projects. If we were to terminate the old contracts, we will have to pay compensation,” he said.

He said a portion of the country’s income had to be used to pay the country’s debt, which caused the government to pay lesser attention to national development.

“I hope we can be patient. If we cooperate in an atmosphere of peace and calm, then we can restore the financial position and develop our country.

“It is not easy to pay off an RM1-trillion debt. All the people, including government servants, have to tighten our belts a little so that we can reduce the normal expenses and pay the debt,” he said.

“Insya Allah (God willing), we will be able to settle out debts and, after that, the government income will rise and can be used to help with the cost of living of the people, especially those working with the government,” he said.

Dr Mahathir said a high income will mean nothing if the prices of goods rise more than the salary increases.

“For us, what is more important is to provide a salary that can buy more than before ... it is for this reason that the present government is reviewing the country’s financial procedures,” he said.
Notice the last century's economic thinking of keeping salary low in order to control cost of living.

Government servants is to live like pauper while the private sector and businessmen live like a prince.

And, Malays are told not to be insecure and accept the labelling they are lazy and corrupt.

What is Mahathir and Daim up to?

Mahathir is the ultimate political animal where everything is justified for the sake of politics and power.

Daim is a businessman and his politics still return back to business interest.

He is does not expound virtues without some commercial benefit. He must be up to something.

The media was on a self imposed censorship and seemed to only provide coverage of the interview relating to MAS.

In the interview, Daim spoke about breaking up monopoly and those interested could take up the assets. Without money, you cannot do.

It is privatisation 2.0 as it is being dubbed now. While UMNO critics is turning back the table to call it in return, "jual negara". The assets are the ones owned by the masses.

As Zunar's another cartoon depicted, "they" are in a hurry to further plunder the country.

Railway baron

Kerala Express

Daim once criticised the current cabinet, which was described by Zunar's earlier caricature as under him in the current organsational structure, as "PH Ministers are "L" license driver".

It justify his role with China. Without mincing his words, Mahathir openly mentioned Daim is assigned to restart negotiation with China on ECRL.

He could have said it in any other way to save face of Lim Guan Eng but he did not. It was left to Guan Eng to save his own face and concur with Daim's appointment.

A critic of the railway plan was vehemently against ECRL. He cited his sources within SPAD claimed it will be a financial burden.

That is unless China guarantee the throughput. That will mean giving them stake but the myopic Malay or even Malaysian as Daim viewed will be up in arms.

When he was finally told few months ago that he wasted his effort to lobby against it, he must have been dejected. Daim likes project like this and not farming that will help rural folks.

It will go on. Media is being directed to  push for the project to go on.

CGTN viewed this positively after confusing statements coming from Mahathir and Guan Eng.
The ECRL project was approved by former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak in October 2016 at the cost of 55 billion Malaysian ringgit (13.5 billion U.S. dollars). The new ECRL deal, with cost savings of about 10 billion Malaysian ringgit (2.45 billion U.S. dollars), would have new commercial elements that would have a greater impact on Malaysian companies and people.
At one time, Guan Eng claimed the project would cost up to RM80 billion by a "decimal error-like mistake" of imputing financing cost into project cost.

While Mahathir used to claim the project cost should be below RM10 billion but have since claimed it as RM130 billion.

Daim said it will be finalised by April with a savings of RM10 billion. A BN MP from Pahang kissed Mahathir's hand for reviving a project of significant economic spillover to the East Coast states.

But, what is the final cost and in typical Mahathir fashon, which crony will benefit?

South China Morning Post quoted a Dr Ngeow Chow Bing of University Malaya’s Institute of China Studies said the reduction is unclear and Dr James Chin of Tasmania University questioned whether they were "hidden" elements.

There is also the reaction of the appeared obsession against cronyism of Tony Pua and Guan Eng to the finalised figure from Daim?

If the figure end up, to be no more and no less than RM55 billion save for the reduction, it will be fodder for Bossku's facebook.

Jack Ma

Bear in mind, Jack Ma has told Lim Guan Eng and Tony Pua that Alibaba.com is not investing in Malaysia. It means China lost interest in Malaysia.

The most innovative plan to open economic opportunity to all Malaysians and especially young people will stall in a matter of time.

At the end of it, Daim never lose. He will end up with the money. The restructuring of the reserves out of GLCs is in the making.
