Pakatan Harapan Suffers From Diarrhoea Of The Mouth

Pakatan Harapan Suffers From Diarrhoea Of The Mouth

How much did Pakatan Harapan spend in GE14? It is said PPBM spent RM600 million while DAP and PKR spent RM1 billion. Can they show us their bank statements for the last two years from 2017 to 2019? Does this RM1.6 billion appear in these bank statements? If not then why not? Where did the money come from, and how was it spent, when legally Pakatan Harapan should not have spent more than RM100 million for GE14?

NO HOLDS BARRED

Raja Petra Kamarudin

Lim Kit Siang boasts that he has spoken/written ten million words in his entire political career (that is “10” with another six zeros at the end). That is actually true because back in 1969 Kit Siang attacked the Malays with devastating results, in 1977 he attacked Exxon and got into trouble, then he attacked BMF Hong Kong, and after that he attacked Hati Budi Sdn Bhd, UEM Berhad and the Plus Highway but lost his case in court, and so on.

Yes, Kit Siang is like a dog sitting beside the road that barks loudly and chases every car that passes by — but in the end never manages to catch the car. For 54 years since 1965 (long before many of you were born) he has been doing this — bark, bark, chase, chase. However, in the end, nothing happens and he just shuts up again.

How many crusades has Kit Siang embarked upon since 1965 when PAP set up DAP as its Malaysian arm? Okay, maybe Kit Siang has spoken/written ten million words but how many crusades has he embarked upon? Honestly, I do not think even Kit Siang remembers because as soon as he launches a new crusade he chucks the old crusade aside and forgets about it.

Latheefa Koya, just shoot, stop talking!

I suspect Kit Siang now wishes he did not talk too much over those 54 years. I mean, ten million words are a lot of words and the more words that come out of your mouth the more mistakes you make. And eventually those mistakes are going to come back to haunt you.

Because of Kit Siang’s example, the whole of DAP began to adopt the same culture of diarrhoea of the mouth. They soon began to love the sound of their own voice and talked about so many things, some of which they should not have talked about.

For example, DAP leaders such as Superman Hew should not have revealed that DAP is using the Malays to fight the Malays and that Kit Siang is just using Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad to kill Umno. Everyone knows that is what DAP and Kit Siang are doing but no need to mention so openly lah!

The most damaging crusade of Kit Siang’s is regarding the RM31.5 billion Bank Negara forex losses where Kit Siang promised that if DAP comes to power they are going to make sure that Tun Dr Mahathir, Tun Daim Zainuddin and Anwar Ibrahim are going to be punished for that crime.

Well, DAP is now in power — in fact, Kit Siang’s son is the Finance Minister — so what happened? Why are Mahathir, Daim and Anwar not being punished for the RM31.5 billion Bank Negara forex losses? Is this not what you promised?

Is the MACC investigating how this ah long boss lost RM40 million in cash and RM400 million in valuables from the Pavilion Residences seizure?

And the list goes on. So many promises within those ten million words but not a single one delivered.

And today, not only has the diarrhoea of the mouth culture rubbed off onto DAP, the whole of Pakatan Harapan suffers from that sickness as well.

Look at one example, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission or MACC. It has become just like Kit Siang and DAP — talk, talk, talk, non-stop. Why don’t they just do their work instead of talking non-stop with very little results?

Who cares whether they have a list of 41 names or a list of 408 names of people/entities that received money from 1MDB? Just drag all those 41 or 408 people/entities to court and charge them. Why have they not been charged yet?

When is the MACC going to charge Najib for the RM1.1 billion cash and valuables they seized from the Pavilion Residences or is there no proof it was from 1MDB money?

Before the May 2018 general election, they talk so much. They said they have all the proof and within 24 hours of Pakatan Harapan forming the new government they are going to arrest all those ‘kleptocrats’ and put them in jail.

What 24 hours? It is almost 10,000 hours. What happened? Why “civil forfeiture”? Is that even legal? If a crime has been committed then go for criminal action. Why civil action? Sebab takde bukti ke?

READ MORE HERE: Illegal application of civil forfeiture law would back-fire badly

As what Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah said: since 1957, under six Prime Ministers, the Umno divisions have been receiving money from the Umno headquarters. And 22 of those 61 years were under Mahathir. Never in the past have the divisions first questioned headquarters as to where the money came from. Now you say the Umno divisions should have first question HQ as to where the money came from before accepting it?

Pakatan Harapan spent RM1.6 billion in GE14 so why is the MACC not investigating that crime?

What nonsense is this? Do the DAP, PKR, PPBM and Amanah divisions do the same? How do the DAP, PKR, PPBM and Amanah divisions know that the money they receive is not dirty money? How do the DAP, PKR, PPBM and Amanah divisions know that the money they receive does not come from the Chinese underworld gambling, drugs, prostitution and loan shark syndicates?

How much did Pakatan Harapan spend in GE14? It is said PPBM spent RM600 million while DAP and PKR spent RM1 billion. Can they show us their bank statements for the last two years from 2017 to 2019? Does this RM1.6 billion appear in these bank statements? If not then why not? Where did the money come from, and how was it spent, when legally Pakatan Harapan should not have spent more than RM100 million for GE14?

Yes, the MACC should stop talking as if they are a political party and do their work. They appear to be talking non-stop to create an impression they are working so hard when in actual fact there is not much progress. When you talk you distract the people from the fact you are not doing much.

But soon the truth will emerge. People will soon see that the proof of the pudding is in the eating. You can talk till the cows come home but if there is nothing there is nothing. And that is what is happening in the MACC, nothing. Maybe the MACC thinks that oral sex means just talking about sex but not actually doing it.

The Reason Why The 408 Names Were Reduced To 41

The Reason Why The 408 Names Were Reduced To 41

And have you noticed that Mahathir is not whacking Najib for spending RM2.6 billion? He knows this is what it costs even when he was the Prime Minister from 1981 to 2003. Mahathir is just whacking Najib on the so-called source of the funds. Mahathir is saying that Najib stole the money from 1MDB. And now Latheefa Koya and Tommy Thomas need to prove that or else besar kemaluan Mahathir.

THE CORRIDORS OF POWER

Raja Petra Kamarudin

Those who have ever been involved in political campaigns or elections know that a lot of money (mostly cash) is involved in financing these activities. When it was revealed that Najib Tun Razak spent RM2.6 billion to finance the 2013 general election, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said RM2.6 billion is too much because during his time he only needed to spend RM1.5 billion.

The issue of whether that RM2.6 billion came from 1MDB or from the Saudis is not the discussion here. Najib’s 1MDB trial will start in October so we will let the court decide whether Najib did steal that RM2.6 billion from 1MDB or not. If mere allegations are proof of guilt, then Azmin Ali should be facing charges of buggery and potentially will be facing a 20-year jail sentence.

Anyway, it is true that in every general election Umno requires at least RM1.5 billion. But the RM2.6 billion that Najib was alleged to have spent was not for the 2013 general election alone and not only for Umno. It was for a range of political activities and for all parties within Barisan Nasional. Hence, we are looking at RM1.5 billion for the 2013 general election plus RM1.1 billion for other political activities over five years (2013-2018).

Most of the political funding is in cash and does not appear in your personal bank account for obvious reasons: because you cannot spend more than RM200,000 per parliament seat

The amount Umno spent for the 2013 general election and over the five years from 2013 to 2018 is not an issue, as far as Mahathir is concerned. And who received the money – whether it is 408 names or just 41 names — is also not an issue. In fact, it has never been an issue for almost 40 years since 1981. To Mahathir, the issue is where did that money come from and was it stolen from 1MDB?

That and only that is the issue. If the money was stolen from 1MDB then someone has to pay for that “crime”. If, however, the money was not stolen from 1MDB, then end of story. Case closed. This is the focus of the entire “scandal”.

Are we saying this thing about spending RM1.5 billion for the general election and another RM1 billion for political activities over five years only happened in 2013? No, it has always been happening since the last 40 years. The only difference is no one talked about it before this. Then, after the 2013 general election, Mahathir decided to become a squealer or “stool pigeon” and spill the beans that Umno spent RM1.5 billion for the 2013 general election and another RM1 billion or so over five years to finance its political activities.

Mahathir said RM2.6 billion is too much because he only needed RM1.5 billion to finance the elections during his time

I mean, this is like the Chief of the Armed Forces retiring and then revealing that Malaysia has been financing and training Muslim freedom fighters (often referred to by the west as “terrorists”) from Southern Thailand and the Philippines since the 1980s.

Of course Malaysia has been doing that. And Thailand and the Philippines know about it. But then the retired Chief of the Armed Forces should not hold a press conference and officially announce it. If he does he would be arrested and charged for treason because he is bound by the Official Secrets Act even if he has retired.

Hence the same with a retired Umno President who reveals that Umno spends RM1.5 billion in the general election and another RM1 billion between general elections.

And why should the Umno President not reveal this? Well, mainly because this is illegal. First of all, the money spent is mostly cash and is not recorded and does not appear in the party accounts. (And that is the reason why Lim Guan Eng announced that the money Muhyiddin Yassin, Mukhriz Mahathir and Shafie Apdal received did not go into their bank accounts: because 90% of this political funding is done in cash and do not appear in the bank accounts).

Umno and Barisan Nasional have been spending RM1.5 billion to finance the general election since 1982 when they can legally only spend about RM105 million

Secondly, by law, Umno cannot spend more than RM50 million in the parliament and state seats it is contesting in the general elections.

Yes, RM50 million. That is all Umno can spend in the general elections. And even if you include the entire Barisan Nasional (non-Umno parties as well) for all the 800 or so parliament and state seats all over Malaysia, it cannot exceed RM105 million.

So, there you have it. Barisan Nasional cannot spend more than RM105 million in the 2013 general election. Hence if they had spent RM1.5 billion, then they have broken the law and all the Barisan Nasional candidates who won the election must be disqualified.

And, as Mahathir said, in the 1982, 1986, 1990, 1995, 1999, 2004, and 2009 general elections, Umno or Barisan Nasional have been spending RM1.5 billion per election. That means RM10.5 billion in total plus another RM1.5 billion when Najib took over to make it a grand total of RM12 billion.

Even PPBM spent RM600 million in GE14, not including the RM1 billion that PKR and DAP spent, which is more than ten times over the legal limit

That is the truth of the matter and no one from Umno, PKR, DAP, MCA, MIC, Gerakan, PPBM, PAS, Warisan, PPB, etc. will dare deny this. Since 1957, no one has followed the law. Everyone broke the law and we all know it. And we were all part of it. But we never complained because we knew a mere RM105 million will never win any election. If it is not RM1.5 billion then forget it. Baik balek rumah tidor. Buang masa saja bertanding pilihan raya.

When my daughter, Sara, wanted to contest the 2018 general election, I told her she will need at least RM2 million. The law says she can only spend RM200,000 but if she does not have at least RM2 million then forget it.

In three months, even before she could be nominated as a candidate, she had blown RM100,000. And that was even before anything. She ran out of money before the race could start. If she wanted to stay in the race then she needed to set aside at least RM10 million because after GE14 she still has to keep spending money until GE15.

MACC has “watered down” the list to protect the ex-Umno people now in Pakatan Harapan

Where in heaven’s name are we going to find RM10 million? And if Sara has to spend RM10 million over five years for one seat, multiply that by 222 seats and it will come to more than RM2.2 billion. So, is it surprising that Najib needed RM2.6 billion (and not just for Umno but for all the other members of Barisan Nasional plus NGOs, etc., as well)?

I am not shocked that Najib needed RM2.6 billion (which is not just for the general election but over five years). How much do you think Pakatan Harapan has been spending? Also, billions! If not do you think Pakatan Harapan could have ousted Barisan Nasional?

And have you noticed that Mahathir is not whacking Najib for spending RM2.6 billion? He knows this is what it costs even when he was the Prime Minister from 1981 to 2003. Mahathir is just whacking Najib on the so-called source of the funds. Mahathir is saying that Najib stole the money from 1MDB. And now Latheefa Koya and Tommy Thomas need to prove that or else besar kemaluan Mahathir.

Dr. Mahathir Terus Burukkan UMNO

Dr. Mahathir Terus Burukkan UMNO

Professor Ramlah Adam: Non Malays fail to understand Malaysia's history

Just My Thoughts

Professor Ramlah Adam: Non Malays fail to understand Malaysia's history

In response to  Dr Ranjit Malhi Singh critique of the history syllabus in our schools. Professor Ramlah Adam came up with a response:

KUALA LUMPUR, April 10 — Secondary school history textbooks seem too Islamic and Malay-centric because non-Malays fail to understand Malaysia’s history, Malay rights group Perkasa asserted today.

Perkasa leadership council member Datin Paduka Professor Dr Ramlah Adam flayed historian Dr Ranjit Malhi Singh today for saying that the current history syllabus had downplayed the contributions of non-Malays and other religions in the country’s history.

“The non-Malays do not understand this because they do not want to accept the concept of Malay supremacy (ketuanan melayu),” Ramlah told reporters here.

Ramlah, who is also a historian and the author of the Form 3 and Form 5 history textbooks, insisted that there is “nothing wrong” with the current history syllabus for secondary schools.

“The history syllabus is well-balanced … we don’t talk or put in negative issues that have happened, we take in the positive (parts).

“What do you want to be put in? About how the contributions of the non-Malays are in the form of the Malayan communist party?

“We do not emphasise May 13 even. It is negative … we only put in one line, the important thing is that we must maintain racial harmony and patriotism,” she stressed.

Ranjit, who was the author of history textbooks until 1996, believes that “scant attention” has been paid to the efforts of the Chinese and Indians in the development of the nation.

He has also charged that there are too many “half-truths and factual errors” in the current syllabus, and that it is laden with “value judgments.”

But Ramlah said the reason for the emphasis on Malays and Islam was because the Malays were recognised by the British as the original inhabitants of the land.

She also said that historical records showed that various agreements were done and signed by the British and Malay rulers, and not any other race.

Ramlah pointed out that the parties which signed the 1957 Merdeka agreement and the agreement for the formation of Malaysia in 1963 were also the Malay Rulers.

“We are not discriminating, we are following what has been clearly recorded in history.

“The non-Malays, they came to this country, contributed as either investors or labourers (kuli),” she added.

The Perkasa leader went to great lengths to explain that the contributions of the non-Malays have been mentioned in the history textbooks — the late Tun Tan Cheng Lock and Tun H.S Lee, for example, were duly recognised for their efforts in shaping Malaysia.

“Ranjit was talking about how Yap Ah Loy was not recognised ... well, he did not form Kuala Lumpur, that’s why he’s not mentioned.

“Ranjit himself was called by the government, along with Tan Sri Professor Dr Khoo Kay Kim, to check the syllabus … he signed it and got paid. There was no complaint then,” Ramlah claimed.

Ranjit had lamented the fact that non-Malay leaders like Yap Ah Loy were not duly recognised in the history textbooks.

Ramlah admitted, however, that the Form 4 history syllabus had placed a lot of emphasis on Islamic civilisation, and that the government was working to revamp the current module.

“The government is already looking into it, so why is he complaining? Ranjit is a consultant. I do not know what his motives are … we cannot afford to fool around with history, we must make sure it is accurately represented,” she added.

Perkasa president Datuk Ibrahim Ali said the spate of complaints urging a revamp of the history textbooks showed that the “minorities” in the country were too demanding in wanting to assert their “rights.”

“Islam is the religion of the country, Malays are the majority ... its simple,” he said today

Source here.

I think the good Professor have a few points there, I don't know what Dr Ranjit is trying to do  but the history of any country will always be told and taught through the eyes of the majority  and this holds true for any country in the world be it Singapore thru to  the United States of America. Malaysia should not be any different.

Does God need defenders: Help Allah and He will Help You…

God does not need defenders

Ronald BenjaminMay 5, 2019 10:41 AM

The political scene of late has seen rallying cries by self-appointed guardians of religion.

Terms like Islamic sovereignty are used and it has been integrated with the royal institution that is supposed to safeguard Islam.

The question that comes to mind is, does religion need protection in an adversarial form? Does exclusivity protect religion? If God is regarded as all powerful, why is there a need for religious warriors? It is sad that philosophical questions of these sorts are seldom put forth in mainstream debates in a country obsessed with race and religion.

Religions such as Christianity, Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism survived for centuries, not because of zealots who protected them.

They survived due to their in-depth wisdom about human life, action and rationality that does not separate faith and reason. In Malaysia, ethnoreligious politics have replaced faith and reason with fear and insecurity, magnified by emotions of hate and division with an overriding purpose for political power.

It is not about defending religion so much as it is about politicians trying to make a quick comeback via the gullible masses who dare not question the superficiality of these leaders since they seem to be defending religion.

This brings into question the role of religion in a society which has become a tool for political power and influence.

It is puzzling to note that in Malaysia, making use of religion for political power is not construed as an insult to religion neither is using corrupt means to enrich oneself regarded as an insult to religion too.

It is sad that such logic is given a chance to thrive in this country where Muslim politicians from both sides of the political divide are afraid to confront it.

Till today, I have yet to see Muslim intellectuals in Malaysia, who speak a lot about Western hegemony or injustice towards Islam, having the courage to categorically criticise the mixing of religion and politics that basically insults religion and puts it in an unfavourable light and a source of confrontation with the West.

It is worthwhile noting that centuries ago, during the Reformation period in Europe and European renaissance that followed later, the abuse of power by Christian hierarchy and its norms that was used for politics was challenged by reformist Christian leaders and secular ones.

Subsequently, Christian leaders over a period of time began to take a hard look at how religion has been propagated and practised. Such a challenge by religious and secular elites did not demean Christianity, but rather faith was seen and discovered from a new light of reason by going back to its core.

In spite of much upheaval that challenged Christianity as a way of life, it has survived to this day because its leaders realise that religion has to separate itself from politics of power for the sake of its credibility and the integrity of the faith.

Faith and reason were the basis for renewal where partisan politics and using religion as a tool that sparked wars over centuries were rejected.

Therefore, it’s time that religion is liberated from self-serving politicians.

It’s time the slogan of defending religion, which is a flawed means to come into power and injustice to the integrity of religion, is done away with for the common good of the country.

Malaysia has great diversity and it will fail as a nation if an overriding exclusive Islamic ethnoreligious ideology takes control of the destiny of the nation.

God does not need humans as protectors. The deceptive ideological flaw of defending religion in Malaysia should be exposed.

“Help Allah and He will Help You…”

“Helping Allah…”

***

Allah says in surat al-Hajj, verse 40: “Indeed Allah will help those who help Him. Indeed Allah is Exalted in Might, All-Powerful”.

Allah also says
in sura Muhammad verse 7: “O you who believe! If you support Allah, He will support you and make your foothold firm.”

Supporting Allah means:[1]

[1] Supporting His Religion through

(i) following it,
(ii) spreading it through da`wa and (iii) learning it. This is broader in its meaning.[2]

[2] Supporting His Prophet through

(i) following his sunna,
(ii) obeying him and
(iii) protecting his honour and example.

[3] Supporting the Shariah through

(i) following it,
(ii) implementing it and
(iii) defending it.[3]

The phrase {and make your foothold firm} “is an expression denoting victory [s: granted to the Muslims]…”[4]

Victory or help from Allah thus has conditions. Helping Allah’s cause or supporting His religion with whatever the situation demands is the condition for Allah to honour the believers with victory.

In reality, Allah is not in need of any help; the actions are for our benefit and requirement for our success in both this world and the hereafter.

Those people who help establish Islam have been called Allah’s helpers.

In order to understand its significance, it should be kept in view that Allah has taken upon Himself to persuade human beings to adopt Islam of their free will, for He does not force His will on man in those spheres of his life in which He has granted him freedom of action but likes to convince him by reason and admonition. As it is the work of Allah to bring the people to the right way by admonition and advice, He calls those people who exert their utmost to establish Islam “His helpers and companions:” This is indeed the highest position that a servant of Allah can aspire to achieve. For man’s position is merely that of a servant when he is engaged in praying, fasting and other kinds of worship, but he is elevated to the high and unique position of God’s companion and assistant when he is exerting for the establishment of the way of Allah. And this is indeed the loftiest position of spiritual attainment, to which a man can aspire in this world.

Enjoining good and forbidding evil

Allah, the Exalted, Says in the Quran (what means):

“Let there arise out of you a group of people inviting to all that is good (Islam), enjoining Al-Ma`roof (i.e., Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam orders one to do) and forbidding Al-Munkar (polytheism, disbelief and all that Islam has forbidden). And it is they who are the successful.” [Quran 3:104]

“You (true believers in Islamic Monotheism) are the best of peoples ever raised up for mankind; you enjoin Al-Ma`roof (i.e., Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam has ordained) and forbid Al-Munkar (polytheism, disbelief and all that Islam has forbidden)”.[Quran 3:110]

“Show forgiveness, enjoin what is good, and turn away from the foolish (i.e., don’t punish them).”[Quran 7:199]

“Those among the Children of Israel who disbelieved were cursed by the tongue of Daawood (David) and `Eesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary). That was because they disobeyed (Allah and the Messengers) and were ever transgressing beyond bounds. They used not to forbid one another from the Munkar (wrong, evildoing, sins, polytheism, disbelief) which they committed. Vile indeed was what they used to do”.[Quran 5:78, 79]“…We (i.e. Allah Almighty) rescued those who forbade evil, and with a severe torment We seized those who did wrong because they used to rebel against Allah’s Command (disobey Allah).”[Quran 7:165]

Abu Sa`eed Al-Khudrireported: The Messenger of Allahsaid, “Whoever amongst you sees an evil, he must change it with his hand; if he is unable to do so, then with his tongue; and if he is yet unable to do so, then with his heart; and that is the weakest form of Faith”.[Muslim]

This Hadeeth (narration) contains a very important prescription to prevent the Muslim society from all thingswhich are forbidden in Islam. So long as Muslims adhered to it and ceaselessly and fearlessly performed their obligation of enjoining the right and forbidding the wrong, their society was largely safe from many evils and sins.

Nu`aman Ibn Basheer, May Allah be pleased with him, reported: The Prophetsaid: “The likeness of the man who observes the limits prescribed by Allah and that of the man who transgresses them is like a group of people who get on board a ship after casting lots. Some of them are in its lower deck and some of them in its upper (deck). Those who are in its lower (deck), when they require water, go to the occupants of the upper deck, and say to them: `If we make a hole in the bottom of the ship, we shall not harm you.’ If they (the occupants of the upper deck) leave them to carry out their design they all will be drowned. But if they do not let them go ahead (with their plan), all of them will remain safe”. [Al-Bukhari]

We learn from this Hadeeth that the consequences of committing acts which are forbidden in Islam are not confined only to those persons who commit them, but the whole society has to suffer the consequences. It is, therefore, essential that the people who are in the habit of committing sinful acts and violate Divine injunctions, should be checked to save the whole society from destruction. If this is not done, the entire society will have to face the Divine punishment.

The Prophetsaid, “Beware of sitting on roads (paths).’ The audience said: “We have them as sitting places.” The Messengersaid, “If you have to sit there, then observe the rights of the way”.They asked, “What are the rights of the way?” Hesaid, “To lower your gaze (on seeing what is illegal to look at), removal of harmful objects from the way, returning greetings, and enjoining good and forbidding wrong”. [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

This Hadeeth tells us that it is improper to sit on roadsides and passages in such a way, which causes inconvenience to the people who pass by. It is really very unfortunate that now we do not care about such things at all. If sitting on the roadside is indispensable, then it is essential to observe the requirements mentioned in the Hadeeth.

Some Islamic etiquette mentioned in this Hadeeth have also been stated in other Hadeeth. For instance, politeness of speech, sharing of someone’s burden, helping the oppressed and the troubled, guiding the wayward person to the right path, answering (in the prescribed manner) one who sneezes, etc.

`Abdullah Ibn `Abbasreported: The Messenger of Allahsaw a man wearing a gold ring. So the Prophetpulled it off and threw it away, saying, “One of you takes a live coal, and puts it on his hand?! It was said to the man after the Messengerhad left: “Take your ring (of gold) and utilize it,” whereupon he said: “No, by Allah, I would never take it after the Messenger of Allahhas thrown it away”. [Muslim]

We learn from this Hadeeth that wearing gold rings (and other golden ornaments) is prohibited for men. Unfortunately, nowadays it has become a fashion among some men wear gold rings to signify their marriage, which is a very dangerous custom that must be shunned.

`Aa’idh Ibn `Amrvisited `Ubaidillaah Ibn Ziyaad (the ruler) and said to him: “Son, I heard the Messenger of Allahsaying, ‘The worst shepherds (rulers) are those who deal harshly in respect of supervision. Beware, don’t be one of them!”’

Ibn Ziyaad said to him, “Sit down, you are but a husk from among the Companions of the Prophet” `Aa’idh Ibn `Amrretorted: “Was there any husk among them? Surely, husk came after them and among others than them”. [Muslim]

This Hadeeth presents a model of courage and boldness of speaking the truth before a tyrant. It was displayed by `Aa’idh in the court of ‘Ubaidillaah Ibn Ziyaad, governor of Basrah. The latter humiliated `Aa’idhthe righteous preacher, for his straight forwardness and truth but he repeated his statement about the eminence of the Companions of the Prophetand said none of them could be called husk.

Huthaifahreported: he Prophetsaid, “By Him in Whose Hand my life is, you either enjoin good and forbid evil, or Allah will certainly soon send His punishment to you. Then you will make supplication and it will not be accepted”. [At-Tirmithi]

To abandon the practice of enjoining virtue and forbidding vice is likely to incur the displeasure of Allah and the rejection of prayers and supplications.

Does God need defenders?

Does God need defenders?

God does not need defenders

Ronald Benjamin May 5, 2019 10:41 AM

Publish date:12/02/2017

Vile indeed was what they used to do”.[Quran 5:78, 79]

“…We (i.e. Allah Almighty) rescued those who forbade evil, and with a severe torment We seized those who did wrong because they used to rebel against Allah’s Command (disobey Allah).”[Quran 7:165]
